The Un-revealed Maps

We have seen 4/10 maps (5/13 counting Forge maps) [6/13 counting the grifball map] and the game ships in a month 1/2. Note that I am not complaining, though I am confused. With Reach, every map had been revealed by the time the game was released. They would have to start unraveling maps pretty quickly in Halo 4 for that to happen.

Now, obviously, that was by a different developer, and I wouldn’t expect 343 to do things exactly the same. I just have a simple question.

Do you guys think we’ll see all of the maps before the game is shipped, or will a good amount of them be surprises?

To add to topic, when do you think we’ll see the next map and what do you expect out of Halo 4’s maps?

i kind of want surprises so

Just a note, the Grifball map was made on one of the unrevealed Forge maps.

I expect to see every single multiplayer map before launch, not necessarily gameplay on them, but at least a short introduction on them, images and an overview.

I hope they show all of them before the game comes out. They have 6 more to reveal, and 2 more Forge World environments.

We have 8 more weeks to go before launch.

So I think a video and some screenshots on each map and forge world a week, leading up to the game, would be an awesome way to do it. Give us extra reason to come here each week, and 1 video and some screenshots won’t take away from each map’s fresh feeling. Especially the ones released on the couple of weeks leading up to the game.

Though, I doubt it will happen this way. It’s been said the game will be shown off at Comic Con NY in October, so I bet we’ll see at least 1 or 2 more maps revealed and shown off by then, with plenty of gameplay footage of them on youtube.

I agree. I think this is the problem with many developers. They release almost all information about the games they make besides maybe the story. This leaves people with nothing to do but bash and pick apart information they read on the net.

I want some surprises and I want to play the game before I praise (or critize) it.
