I think that most of you can agree with me. In the title update for Reach, they need to remove the overheating of the human turrets on vehicles and increase the accuracy to match it to combat evolved. The human turret is just completely under powered and has poor accuracy. I would hope that they decrease the spread of the turret within the aim reticule. Compare it to Halo 3, the Reach turret is a pea shooter. I don’t think that anyone has mentioned this before, so just wanted to point that out.
Nothing should be changed on the turrets and nothing will be changed.
> Nothing should be changed on the turrets and nothing will be changed.
Why not? Have you played Combat Evolved? Probably not. Did the turrets over-heat in Combat Evolved? No
Did the turrets have horrible accuracy in Combat Evolved? No. I hate how people want to host their ideas for the title update and then others want to bash them on their ideas and say that their crap.

I have played combat evolved probably much more then alot of people and I am not bashing, I am just saying that the turrets are really powerful and take a while to overheat so it makes up for it not having perfect accuracy. Turrets should not have perfect accuracy anyway with the amount of damage they do.
I haven’t even thought about this. I agree with what you said. No overheating and increased accuracy.
Ugh! Why do people want Halo: Reach to be like the past Halo’s so badly? Halo: Reach is not Halo: C.E., not Halo 2, not Halo 3. Halo: Reach is Halo: Reach.
So no, the turret should not be changed in the TU.

Because 343 said they were trying to create that “classic” feel of combat evolved with the title update. I remember in a post that they were trying to work on no fall damage. Combat evolved did have fall damage, but they’re still making it like past halo games which I want.

My apologies. I just thought that people that played Combat Evolved should know that turrets shouldn’ t overheat in the title update if they want to recreate that classic experience.
It really doesn’t matter to me as long as:
- The hog gets buffed up against other weapons.
- Mongoose becomes faster then the warthog.
- Tank is weaker to destroy
- Banshee flips slower and or there is a delay between flips.
- Banshee bomb weakened.
(Thats all I would like for vehicles changes in the TU)

Compared to H:CE’s turret, every other one is pure gold. H:CE’s Warthog turret was extremely inaccurate and had only slightly more punch than the Hog’s turret in Reach. But in Reach you benefit from aim-assist and high accuracy, so the overheating kind of serves as restriction how much you can use it. And personally, I think that’s fine.

Remember the Halo 3 turret? That thing was spot on accuracy. Talk about hitting someone across the map. And it was powerful and didn’t overheat.
your bad at turreting if you are having probablems
> your bad at turreting if you are having probablems
The accuracy of a mounted turret is horrible. I just hope that they remove overheating for vehicle turrets.

If they remove overheating then they should add limited ammo.

becuase “call of reach” is horrible as of now and needs some classic updating.
p.s. i liked the halo 2 turrents.
and no fall damage!!
reach is set before the original trilogy thus making the technology less advanced
the turret doesnt need to be changed you just gotta pace your shots
I think that the turret needs a sound animation for when you rip it off of from its mounted position.
I think the turrets should stop overheating but remain inaccurate. It was way too easy to get on the back of a warthog and get a running riot in 2 seconds. With the decreased accuracy the warthog won’t dominate the entire time and players will have more of a chance.
However, I’d like to see a huge damage reduction in the DMR. All you have to do to take down a warthog is spam two magazines in, which makes any vehicle besides the tanks/falcon virtually useless.
The overheating keeps people from spamming, removing it would just be a horrible idea.
> The overheating keeps people from spamming, removing it would just be a horrible idea.
So what you’re basically saying is that it was a bad idea that they didn’t have overheating on the turrets in Halo 1, 2 and 3? But they were all great games and nobody complained about bottomless clip on the turrets.
