The truth poll .do you Like Halo 4 ?

Simple with all the complaining Going on I want to know if there are more Haters or likers .Its just a Simple yes or no .I love Halo 4 So I willvote yes

One can enjoy the game but still be dissatisfied with it.

This poll probably isn’t fair to a lot of people. I imagine lots of people feel like they dislike a lot of things or maybe one or two things a lot about Halo 4, but still like it because its Halo. So I don’t think they would feel like a simple yes or no works for them.

I’m not sure what option(s) they would need though.

Edit:

This poll seems a bit redundant on a Halo 4 forum though, unless you’re more after finding out what percentage on here roughly, dislike Halo 4 for a couple of reasons:

  1. Its a Halo forum so of course most people will like it

  2. There really hasn’t been enough time yet for people to know how they feel. It took me probably a couple of years before I finally realized I just really didn’t like Reach, because before that I just kept thinking it was the lack of maps, armor lock, or other things along with those things. But eventually I realized the game as a whole was just not good to me.

I was SUPER ENTHUSIASTIC about Halo 4 after I played it for 5 minutes at RTX this last summer.

NOW I’M SUPER DEPRESSED about the implementation of playlists, loadouts, custom games, etc…boltshot blah blah blah…

Seems unfair to ask that about the game as a whole. I loved the campaign and spartan ops (Minus the repetitive map use), BUT I hate that in order to be truly competitive in MM that you need a DMR,BR, or ordinance. To me, everything else feels, not worthless, but incompetent by comparison.

I like to have fun with friends on custom games but when anything goes wrong, I blame 343.

I am quite satisfied with the purchase I’ve made. I enjoyed the story from the Campaign, I felt that it introduced something to make the Human’s wary again, and the reintroduction of Chief and Cortana, while brief, was a welcome return in my opinion.

Spartan Ops, while recycling a lot of maps, has some great potential, and I am eagerly awaiting the next few episodes to see where the devs go from there. There is a story to be told, and I’m interested to know what happens next. This mode does have it’s bad moments, but I generally overlook them.

Multiplayer has it’s ups and downs for me. There is some issues that, while I’m not entirely against, that people want changed, and as long as 343 doesn’t take it too far, I’d be content if they changed. I won’t deny that the DMR that I prefer has a bit too much of an advantage, and that’s a bit of a let down to the avid BR user from Halo 3.

Forge, albeit limited, has some great qualities to explore. Sure you lack some of the utensils that were found in Halo Reach, but the beautiful maps that I’ve seen from the community thus-far have been simply amazing, and make it seem worthy of the sacrifice. Others will argue against me, and they have the right to do so.

Theater is a bit disappointing as of now, but I believe 343 has announced they are working on adding it for Campaign and Spartan Ops. While I agree that these should have been in since the beginning along with File Share options, I can also understand that it takes a lot to make sure that function runs smoothly. With the amount of detail they added to make the game look like it does, it makes since that the Theater feature might have a few bugs or other dilemmas that might hinder it’s quality.

Call me a fan boy or otherwise, but I have no doubt in my mind that 343i is doing everything they can to make Halo 4 an enjoyable experience for all of us long time Halo fans, we just have to give them more time. There is another TU on the way within a month that will address Sandbox issues, and from there, the sky is the limit.

TL;DR: I really tried my hardest to make the post easy to follow, but to put it short; I have my reasons for enjoying the product, and I think you should give them more time to perfect it. Yes four/five years is a long time to make sure it was perfect from start, but have a little faith.

It’s a like, hate relationship for myself. I don’t want to use the term love cause I don’t show any to this half game.

Yaha. Me gusta.

Just as I expected the people that Like Halo 4 is double the ones that dont .

> One can enjoy the game but still be dissatisfied with it.

That’s pretty much how I’d describe my attitude towards it. I have fun a lot of the time, but then the glaring design choice errors beat me across the head every now and then, leaving me uber frustrated for a time.

The game itself is not that bad.

Now if you take into account that Halo Reach took time, lots of time, even for those who played daily with challenges completed to reach the top tier of the ranks then Halo 4 FAILS horribly.

If you take into account that Halo Reach did not allow constant quitting from games and if you did so you got banned then Halo 4 FAILS again, you can quit out without any consequences.
If you take into account if a game was started and players quit out you did not have to face the BLACK SCREEN of terminal waiting for new players then Halo 4 FAILS yet again.

Bring back the penalties for quitting out; stop adding in game players and the GLITCHING is also a huge problem in Halo 4.

Yes 343 keeps saying it is working on it and by God I hope they are BUT 343 should have been prepared for a rather large loyal following of Halo players. They bought the title now live up and deliver the standards we all are use to from BUNGIE.

I could care less about all the armor flavors and colors, nice but do you really have to earn an emblem, get real.

I am not the average 12 to 16 year old gamer, am 52 years of age and work in a professional field. If the company I worked for told their customers that they were working on customer satisfaction all the time I would be out of a job.
Will I stop playing Halo 4 most likely not BUT it is not the Halo that in my OPINION most of the more mature followers have come to enjoy and rave about as it is today.

BRING BACK THE BAN HAMMER
BRING BACK THE RANKING STRUCTURE
TAKE AWAY THE OVER POWERED WEAPONS
MAKE THE CHALLENGES WORTH WHILE, AND MAKE THEM A CHALLENGE!

Why has 343 killed the Warthog?? That’s why I hate this Halo. If 343 fixes the warthog, includes classic BTB playlists, and adds open maps such as Sandtrap and Hemorrhage, I’ll like it.

I’m likeing the game.

I like it, but there’s a lot of thing’s that I don’t like about it at the moment.

But to be fair, the game hasn’t been out for long, and these problems can be easily fixed with a patch.

I like the campaign.

Spartan Ops are meh- a nice source of XP, though.

I’m not a multiplayer person, but that will change once Grifball comes around.

i love the game, personal favourite in terms of story built into it, campaign, spartan ops, characters, graohics, im in love with that, i just dont like aspects of multiplayer and way 343i communicates with its fanbase and community

Ill simply say netural Its a good game but as a Halo fan since the launch of the first xbox I find this game 2B severly lacking. In an age of High Def the covey on this one looks like wireframe modles with cloth coverings. Even the grunts in Halo CE looked and were voiced better than these. Ill leave the online MP voting/rants to those who play it a lot more than I do for I play online simply to TRY and
fill my loadout requirments which is all but impossible to do unless you have years to devolt to it and I for one wont be playing this game that long.

Overall, yes.

BUT, several things STILL need fixing and Microsoft hasn’t handled certain things well coughmappackcough It’s not wowed me, as such I doubt I’ll be sticking round for more.

It’s funny that the minority of the complainers on this forum will argue to their death that they are the majority and everyone hates halo yet every “do you like halo 4” poll I’ve seen on here since the games release the majority of the people in the poll vote saying they like the game.

It’s just like my work tells our line workers when errors are made building light fixtures. The people that get a nice product don’t go around bragging how nice their product is but the people that get a damaged, wrong or incomplete fixture run around telling everyone how bad their experience was. The displeased are always more vocal then the pleased. The people who are happy with the game are playing it. Not wasting their time on the forums.
