Funny enough, the odst helmet is also one the reason for me. But I always thought it was a more unpopular armor piece in previous halo’s, even though I always liked it, especially with accessories
I’m glad there’s some folks out here who aren’t raging like children with every post and comment. You bring up some great points with no lootboxes and stuff too. It’s crazy how low the community has gone just because of the prices in the store being too high…for optional cosmetics. Meanwhile they’re playing a free game as early access a month before release.
Your post is quite friendly (sarcasm), so basically anyone that thinks that most of the issues with this game were due to intentional game design decisions are “Deluded Fools” and you consequently complain of people that… would call you an idiot, but you’re also calling them idiots (albeit indirectly).
How is this productive in any way?
No, I actually earn my money and would not like to get scammed and/or nickel n’ dimed out of it, so that’s pretty low ad-hominem towards people who simply have a differring opinion.
I’m lately finding out, quite hilariously that the most toxic people out here are the ones defending these terrible practices and “MISTAKES” by 343 Industries rather than the ones criticizing them, very intriguing.
Do you think it’s reasonable for a battle pass to have levels that contain… Challenge Swaps, and XP Boosts?
Man where do you get your money to want to literally light it on fire so badly.
When did I say I thought the current issues didn’t exist? Don’t put words into my mouth. And you completely misread my post, so i’ll reiterate for you. I suggested that people who came to the comments specifically to spew “I hate 343 and this game” rather not, not because they’re not supposed to have an opinion but because nothing about that is remotely “feedback” or “criticism”, it’s toxic garbage. Same goes with the BS people are pulling with sending death threats to 343 employees. You gonna defend that, too?
If 343 Industries wanted to scam, nickel/dime, ruin the game and just use Halo Infinite as a quick cash grab like what happened to Mass Effect Andromeda, they wouldn’t have listened to all of the community feedback that we’ve been providing. It blows my friggin mind how you can literally witness 343 acknowledge and act upon community feedback in real time and still convince yourself they’re some scummy, sly company who doesn’t care about the community and just wants to make a quick buck. Literally 90% of what Infinite is is the culmination of feedback from both Halo 4 and Halo 5, and even as I type this the guys at 343 are putting YOUR feedback and YOUR criticism to good use to bring us the game we want. If they didn’t care, they wouldn’t listen., but it’s very obvious they are.
And again with putting words in my mouth. I didn’t say anyone who thought the design of the game was purposeful was a deluded fool, because you don’t develop a game by accident. I said anyone who thought Halo Infinite was being used as a throwaway cash grab was a deluded fool, because how tf do you use a free-to-play game as a cash grab? You don’t. You are completely in control of what you buy. Not to mention the multiple updates that have happened and are going to happen to bring the fixes we’ve asked for as soon as possible.
Get what you’re going for but this isn’t it. They can, in fact, add in much of the changes people want extremely easy unless they were so incompetent in coding the game they break everything by making one change and need to spend two months working around it. The sad part is that what’s most likely happening is repeated meetings and the upper management not wanting to budge on this model because of how profitable it is in the short term.
Well, if there weren’t micromanaging everything in the game to be built around a shop, would they have to be working their but off as you said to try to fix the things they screwed up on?
A big fat no. This is their own doing so maybe they should take responsibility for their own poor actions, you think?
What happened to when a company makes promises following through with their own words?
See, it’s easy to blame the community, but you are forgetting one impatient thing here. There is this thing called license agreement, subject to change. This means any company can advertise their game any way they want and say what they want, but they don’t have to offer what they advertised the game to be, and so far 343 words are the opposite of what they were preaching to “sound good”.
Back in the day you actually paid for full games, not this -Yoink!- release as this actually is. You didn’t get this drip-feed content with all these promises from companies that they are going to “improve things”. Sure, 343 will, but at what cost to the player base?
Talk is cheap, it’s actions that show the truth and what players like me are actually looking for. It’s in plain sight that this is the worst release in history with any Halo. The game is literally Barbone and for the years and the financing, they had from Microsoft being it’s 2021? that pretty damn bad.
This is 100% false, the higher-ups are because of how bad they messed things up. If you are going to post things like this, at least be real about it instead of looking for the “poor me” nonsense. That’s childish… This is a business, at least they can try to act like one. The devs literally have (nothing) to do with the people that actually make the calls for this game that are above them.
Opinions are not facts and that even goes for me. But you are reaching hardcore hear bud if you think for one moment that a game built around a shop was done out of the kindness of their heart. In other words, telling half-truths doesn’t fly.
There are 2 things wrong here.
-
Labeling everyone is just dumb and you literally do not speak for anyone.
-
Explaining the obvious when it comes to grinding did absolutely nothing for you. All I can say to that is, Duh…
Nah, I’m here to say what you claimed everyone else to be. Stop being a brat.
