Something about the classic beat and drums gives me an adrenaline rush.
Sounds amazing! Though I wish they made the original melody a bit louder than the cellos and drums, but other than that, WOW.
The staccato and brass emphasis… I have nothing against these things, I really don’t, but in Halo I’m conditioned to both want and expect longer, more sustained strings with massive chords.
It’s glorious.

Halo music has always had the most iconic score of any video game. Mass effect comes close, but Halo… It’s really in a league of its own. Every game has that one particular track that everyone knows, such as the Mario theme, the Skyrim theme, but every single track in Halo has a personality, and every track from Halo can invoke some kind of emotion in people who have played the games.

I’m not afraid to say it. THE HALO 5 SOUNDTRACK IS THE BEST ONE YET. I don’t care if it’s only 5 tracks but DAMN. I literally started crying and hysterically laughing at the same time while I listened to this on full volume headphones. Kazuma, you are officially a legend in my book.
