I do not know if it is a coincidence that in each generation there is a type of armor like that but I declare myself a fan of armor with oriental style in Halo.
It all started in Halo 3 with the collaboration between Halo and Ninja Gaiden.

Halo 4 - Raider Armor → Raider - Armor - Halopedia, the Halo wiki
Halo 5 - Shinobi Armor → Shinobi - Armor - Halopedia, the Halo wiki

Halo Infinite - Yoroi Armor → Yoroi - Halopedia, the Halo wiki
I would love to have them all in Halo Infinite!

No coincidence, people like them is all so they get put in the games.
It’d be sick to have a Gen1 Mark VI armor core in Infinite so we could rock the old school scout, EOD, EVA, Rogue, Hayabusa, etc from Halo 3.
Samurai is one of those warrior tropes that you can overlay on almost anything, so it works. And the style just looks amazing, there’s so much you can do with it.
