So after the 21st things will start to roll again. This means title updates, patches and additions to halo 4.
This is what I think could happen when certain things come out.
-ranks come out and they are visible.-20,000 player spike.
-specializations given-5,000 player spike.
-release of new permanent playlists that have multiple playlists in them.- gradual increase of players weekly by possibly 1000-2000 players.
-fix obvious balancing issues -5,000 player spike.
The big thing is ranks, when those are added people will spend more time playing and with the fixes and more playlists will be more engaged and the online population may get much higher. This isn’t a thread about how HALO IZ DEAD OMG, no this is just what I think could happen if 343 plays their cards right.
They’ll start updating, and people will complain about each update. Unpopular playlists that don’t stick will have their whiners going on about it not being permanent while condemning more popular playlists that show enough attention to get permanent lists. Any balancing they do will be heralded with the nasal whines of people claiming they broke a good gun, nerfed a gun too much, or didn’t break/nerf the right gun. People will complain because of the order in which specializations are unlocked, or that people who didn’t play early get to wear armor they got early. People will whine because CSR isn’t what they wanted it to be, and half these threads will no longer be about the content of a person’s post and whether or not that content has any validity, but the CSR of the poster.

Starting on the 21st the infinity challenge ends, spartan ops returns as do weekly updates. That’s what I mean when I say it is going to start rolling again

Ranks are going to be halo waypoint only. not in game. which means nothing to anytone. no one will care… well a very very small minority. it has been stated by the population that in game ranks is what the community is looking for. not waypoint ranks or whatever.

I don’t think they said it would be waypoint only, they just said it would be visible through waypoint. Something to think about.

Same here. Add to the fact that their XP ranking system saw players max out after only 3 weeks of playing. So if you have a hard to access CSR and a capped XP ranking system, there’s no point in playing this game.
Updates aren’t a games savior. Most people trade or sell their games once they are done with them and they are unlikely to purchase again for a title update. I sold my copy of Reach after the first month and even with Reach’s updates I wasn’t going to throw more money at bad .
