When the flood returns the precursor should lead the flood. The didact controls the promethians. Jul leads the the storm covy the arbitot leads his faction and master chief is kind of the face for humanity… But the topic on this would the timeless one make a good leader for the flood? And while I’m at it do you think mendiate bias while cause trouble for the didact and side with the flood?
Pretty sure MB is firmly on the side of humanity at this point. “Atonement”. Also, the Didact is kinda a Flood pawn, even if he has no idea of it.
The Timeless One was killed by the IsoDidact. It reemerged as the Gravemind.
So, technically, we’ve already faced what once was the Timeless One throughout Halo 2 and 3. But I definitely think they should make the Gravemind into what it was in the Forerunner Trilogy. The beast that made the Didact, a noble warrior that has served in combat and understood the deep principles behind the Mantle for millenia, go insane.
Mendicant seemed pretty truthful when he said that he wasn’t siding with the Flood anymore. He’s more likely to be on Humanity’s side.
Timeless One is just an early Gravemind. Plus he’s dead. I wouldn’t mind fighting a Gravemind put into a moveable body though. Beyond the combat forms.

which is a precursor. Like all the flood.
