These three simple yet affective controller layouts are intuitive and would be perfect for so many people. I don’t know why it’s so hard to implement something so simple as this.
My personal fav is the first choice. Sprint is going to be the second most used button besides firing your weapon and so it should be placed on the left trigger. grenade throws would not be effected by placing it on the left bumper. movement isn’t hindered, shots can still be fired, nothing is screwed up with this layout.
Most importantly everything else remains the same. I don’t get why bungie and now 343 love adding button layouts that completely change the layout instead of just switching one or two things.

i posted this one as a second option.
there really should be 3 more options for the halo 4 controller layout. the ones i posted make the most sense for the most amount of people.

The best thing would be to allow custom map layouts but i don’t know why they won’t do it. i think they’re afraid of glitches like BXB? but whatever, if a glitch comes out freaking patch it. we all know how many patches it takes to solidify the game after release anyway.
I’m a Bumper Jumper guy. Melee, jump, shoot and nade are my bumper/triggers, and to me those are the four controls that will be needed quickly in combat. I already deal with X to Sprint with no problems, I don’t see why a second AA on a face button is much of a bigger deal. I’ll probably be sticking to classic playlists anyway, so I see that as an ideal control scheme.
