For me, it must be that we could already see some multiplayer gameplay:)
You?

I wouldn’t call it a trailer. More like a teaser to satiate our collective appetites till they can show something more substantial.
What did surprise me though is the fact that there will be a story for Halo4 multiplayer. It has never been canon so far, but if they do something akin to how Assassins Creed handled it, I wouldn’t mind. Still confused as to why Spartan IV’s need to fight each other and I do recall Frankie saying that it isn’t a training exercise.
hmm, agreed
looking forword for more info!
crap…sprint is back
> crap…sprint is back
what?? i was like ‘‘YES!’’ when i saw that xP sprint is good, the rest is -Yoink-… jet pack and hologram could be in FFA gametypes but that’s it.
The story as to why red Vs blue biggest suprise

We don’t, never have, and never will. Halo 1 to 3 worked without sprint, because of the fast movement speeds and smaller maps. You guys don’t realise that the maps are so big because they were designed for sprint.
Getting across the map in Reach at 120% movement speed is just as fast as 100% with sprint, when sprinting as much as possible. The further the distance, the less of an advantage sprint brings.
Not to mention the other gimmicks sprint introduces, such as sprint double beatdowns, sprint sword combo, escaping death too often, returning to the place of your death faster so flags are harder to cap, slowing gameplay down in general, etc.
That there was only like 20 or 30 seconds of gameplay, and the community is already judging it based on that 20 or 30 seconds, and some already thing Halo 4 is going to be a big flop.

I know… people need to adapt-.- Halo 4 needs to feel like a Halo 4 game… it’s not Halo 2 or 3 remember.

we got to see that sprint with its problems is back… Thats 343s fault.

you have many good points about the sprint setting… but for me i can live with that… For me reach had a better gameplay setting:P ofc it’s annoying that people can run away from you… but hey… I do the same thing if my health is red:P the thing that fuckd up reach gameplay was not the sprint… but the stupid armour lock (that -Yoink- should never had made it down in any halo game)

Remember the saying a picture tells a thousand words? The trailer consists of about 20 seconds of gameplay which makes up for 600 pictures. That’s about 600,000 words. From 600,000 words you can learn a lot.
But jokes aside, it’s not the trailer that upset people aside from the inclusion of sprint and sprint-melees. But what upset people was what press told us. Perks, loadouts, neither of them can’t be good for gameplay. In a best case scenario, they will only be pointless and in a worst case scenario they will seriously hurt the gameplay.
I’m not saying Halo 4 will be a flop, but with the features we have heard of this far there is a pretty large chance for it being just another generic modern FPS, losing all of the originality it had.

I’m just waitin’ for PAX and E3. The First Look wasn’t enough for me to conclude this game as good or as a Reach clone.
well i guess the cyclopes surprised me the most
