Firstly, I like Reach. So don’t get me wrong I still enjoy playing very much and wont stop anytime soon.
But… I must say, I hate the matching system for multiplayer matchmaking. I hate when my team are all single players and the other team is a group of four. It really sets the game off balance in many ways. 4s should always play 4s or a team of 2 and 2. It also seems when I avoid a team of 4, it has no impact on the matching of future games. Cause when 4 people I avoided 30 minutes ago pop up against me, it gets really aggravating…

Search with friends, you win more. Why do you think others do it? The game is much more enjoyable (in my opinion) when you win more and avoid being paired up with betraying trolls and no mic -20 players.
Of course thanks to the credit system, you “win” even if you lose (what i mean is you still get credits for doing bad).
> It’s not as much the game’s fault and more the players who play the game.
Nothing is wrong with searching full team or with a few buddies. If the game actually filtered those who searched with more people, it wouldn’t be a problem for those solo players who play with randoms. Then again, that’s the risk you take searching with random people. It’s a lot like the lottery; you’re taking a big risk and you don’t always win.
Again, if this is a problem, get a few friends together and search like that. If you really think there is something wrong with this approach, then i don’t know what to tell you.
I agree that the matching system is pretty poorly implemented, but at the same time, if it were smarter and more selective about creating matches it would significantly increase the time it takes to find an appropriate bunch of people to play a game so it could get started. Personally I’d be willing to wait longer, but most people aren’t that patient.
