The thing about work/life balance is you have to actually work

Custom games work pretty well actually you just have to be creative to get the good stuff :+1::ok_hand:

I agree with everything you said there. Thank you.

Wow you’re are a sad, sad, hopeless fanboy aren’t you? Now you’re trying to cherry pick the quality of the content Halo 3 and Halo Infinite had at launch? Wow I’ve seen some poor strawmans on these forums before but this, this is the first “broke” strawman I’ve seen.

Halo 3 didn’t have dedicated servers? Really? No duh, because dedicated servers didn’t exist on console games until around MCC’s era.

None of this is subjective. If you gather EVERY SINGLE bit of content of Halo 3, down to the individual Forge pieces, Halo 3 has more content than Halo Infinite. I count a games content as a WHOLE game, not just on what I like and don’t like.

Keep in mind I hate Halo 3, normally I wouldn’t defend it, but your take is so horrendously wrong, it’s actually quite funny.

What’s even funnier is the fact that you can’t seem to cope with the fact the as it stands now, Halo Infinite is the worst iteration in the franchise on every possible level except maybe graphics. It’s got the least amount of content out of ANY Halo title, it’s coding is so borked that every time 343 tries to give us an update they break like 5 other things in the process and then take months to fix those things whilst taking what seems like continuous vacations in between.

You are defending a failed game, and you can’t even make an accurate argument for it.

You don’t have to talk to people like that to get your point across.

Clearly, you don’t even know my position on either game. I haven’t played Infinite in 6 weeks and Halo 3 is one of my all time favourite games.

Just pointing out the hypocrisy as the bungie.net forums when Halo 3 launched were very similar to the waypoint forums now. I didn’t start the H3 comparison, I just joined in with the discussion.

You believe what you believe, I’ll believe what I believe. But after you spoke to me in such a way, I will not be discussing anything with you again.

wow its almost like they are pushing bak deadlines becuse the game was rushed out to meet chrismas and becuse you are the same type of fan who moanned about the dealayse and then turn around and complain about the lack of content

So not only are you making unfounded presumptions that the lack of content and issues with the game are due to your presumption that the game was rushed out to meet Christmas demand…but you go on to make further unfounded presumptions about me personally and my thoughts on the game.

My post that you have replied to is very fair, reasonable and doesn’t merit any of your comments. May be you should concentrate on your own intellect and use spell checker if you’re unable to construct reasonable thoughts and sentences on your own.

You’re doing a piss poor job of playing the devil’s advocate. You actually listed Ranked KBM, Ranked Controller, and Bots as meaningful differentiations of game modes. First off, “bots” is a practice mode and irrelevant, and Ranked KBM and Controller are LITERALLY the same thing. You’re reaching. Just admit you’re biased as hell or have some agenda that’s forcing you to deceive and lie about reality. You must’ve forked hundreds of dollars in this game already to be this die hard and still be wrong.

Fair comment. There are good times to be had. I think it works well when you get in to a game but I’ve seen too many stories of issues trying to save settings of custom games and issues with settings loading up wrong. It seems once again the UI and everything around the gameplay is tarnishing the solid gameplay.

And for me custom games is just not a viable mode without a custom games browser. I don’t have an army of halo fans as friends anymore! Glad you are enjoying customs though.

I wouldn’t have used as strong wording as that, but I definitely agree with the comment that the open world is very lacking in variety and FOBs and marine rescues are padding.

It is my main problem with the campaign. The open world wasn’t all that well done in my view. I did enjoy the campaign, just found it a little dull in terms of environments and things to do

Strange to capitalise an incorrectly used word.

Thankfully my pea brain spotted it.

Don’t worry about replying, I don’t spend time talking to people that have to sling insults to try and prove a point. By all means reply, just know that I’ll never see a word of it.

the developers that are working to actually make the game are not at fault here. They deserve a good work/life balance just like any other human being. The people that we should be blaming should be management and Microsoft.

Microsoft’s practice of signing devs to 18 month contracts and then not renewing/hiring them after to avoid paying benefits is the biggest reason for the content issues this game has. There have been numerous sources that have stated that Infinites engine takes time to learn for developers and Microsoft not keeping employees that know the engine around is what is actively sabotaging the game. Their policy makes it so that they can’t re-hire workers that might know the engine and how it works or else they would need to start paying for benefits.

Microsoft is shooting its own dev studio in the foot purely out of corporate greed.

By the way, Microsoft is an over $2 TRILLION company. That is 12 zeroes folks. There is no reason that Microsoft cannot afford to fairly compensate the workers that their company is built off of.

Completely agree with this. Devs are not at fault here.

Lol touché my friend

We all know about work life balance and we all work more than live our lives to deliver the utmost productivity towarss whatever company we work for.

@343

Get that productivity numbers up on y’alls metrics and deliver better content cause last I checked those numbers on steam for player’s playing Infinite are your “True” die hard fans. “NOT” this broader audience that has long ago left your agenda/plan.

Satisfy your fans or loose them and end up with nothing

Misspelling a word in a hastily written message is quite the thing to hyper-focus on. Good thing you actually comprehended the message of my statement rather than being -Yoink!- and being distracted by an irrelevant spelling error. Oh, wait.

Just because one has more, doesn’t always mean its better than a system that has less, but far greater utalisation of what it has.

3,Reach & 4 allow for greater customisation due to what’s available to use and choose, Infinit’s and 5’s were restrictive in many ways that resulted in a regression of the desire to customise and express, with 5’s I could at least still choose colours, with infinite I cannot.

What do you mean people don’t want multiple variations of the same helmet with little changes and clog up the screen

Its obvious that people want a stripe on a helmet to count as a brand new helmet
