The thing about work/life balance is you have to actually work

And as someone who plays in the Eastern us i get it constantly

infinite took me like 8 hours… and probably 2-3 of those hours were just me walking from the end of one mission to the start of another… so in terms of story length, they are about the same length. except halo 3’s story was very fluid, actually made sense and was epic. infinite’s is a Frankenstein monster of a game. The game maybe moving and functional, but a lot of important pieces are clearly missing and because of that the story is a shell of what it could have been. Of all the main halo games, halo 5 had the worst story, and halo infinite sits right above that… I don’t get why you are trying so hard to defend the level of mediocrity that is halo infinite?

The only reason 343i is crying work life balance is because the amount of work they created for themselves. If they just had a proper release and listened to QA they might no be in this position.

But given the sheer amount of failures this company has its really no suprise this is the outcome.

Why are you trying so hard to convince me it is?

At launch Halo 3 had 11 maps, forge, a feature comete campaign, ranked and social playlists with far more to boot, and Forge…

Factually wrong to say Infinite has more content

Wow… Asking for the bare minimum is because of “the customer is always right?” Get the hell ot of here with that crap. You may enjoy getting screwed over for 3 games and now this dumpster fire, but that doesnt mean everyone has as little self respect as you.

11 maps… Ah yes I always forget about Last Resort. Awful map. Compared to 10 maps.

We already established it had 1 more playlist than Halo Infinite. The lack of playlists was also due to crossplay and testing the waters there. Something H3 didn’t need to worry about. Too many playlists spoil the broth. You have to take a reasoned approach to this.

Can you really call it forge? It was a glorified weapon placement tool with the capability of inserting a couple of walls on High Ground. Forge didn’t become useful for creating new maps until Heroic Map Pack. Even then supremely limited. Halo 3 forge was weak.

Campaign was much shorter. So while it was complete it was also much smaller in scale. Again they didn’t have to manage crossplay and crossgen.

No bots. No weapon drills. No tutorial. No training mode.

It’s very similar to Infinite on launch. But I still think subjectively Infinite offers more on launch than H3 did.

Should Infinite have had a better launch? Yes. Is it worse than Halo 3s? Probably not.

You’re actually serious? Holy YOINK!.. Were you actually around during Halo 3s launch? There was factually more content in Halo 3 by a large margin. Players were also not disappointed at this scale. Yes it also o ly had 1 more map but they were generally far better AND we already had more maps added by this point.

You are completely delusional if you think Infinite and Halo 3 had similar launches. Its not even comparable.

I would guess that 343 Industries are quite busy working on future content for Halo Infinite despite the fact that the communication may point towards the otherwise. Implementing fundamental features like Forge, COOP Campaign, Campaign mission replay is probably something that cannot be done overnight. In addition to this, they do probably also work on additional multiplayer maps, future customization items, custom game browser and everything else that we would expect from a Halo game.

If the maps were better why did they have to pull Snowbound and Epitaph to replace them without shield doors?

Why did they have to complete rebalance Guardian weapon spawns?

How come The Pit needed to be changed to Pitless?

Why did they have to completely remove radar jammer and solar flare?

Halo Infinite maps are of similar quality to Halo 3 maps. Some amazing, some not so good, some poor. Launch Site is particularly atrocious (do enjoy it for Fiesta though). Guardian rework is the gold standard albeit poorly balanced 4v4 spawns in standard matchmaking.

I got Halo 3 a day early so I’ve been playing it since before launch. 10,000+ games played on this account. Many more across several more accounts. Estimated 15,000 games of Halo 3. Played it consistently for it’s entire run, even after Halo 4 launch.

Actually, the OP is right about them working for us. Without us, they are nothing. We decide if a game lives or dies and that is a fact.

When you look at the game No man"s Sky it flopped hard core when it launched, and from what was said it’s the only game the players got a refund.

So before you people laugh and make your dumb comments like trying to compare a game over a decade ago vs today? You might want to think about what you’re saying before you do because what you said literally shows how lost you actually are.

The funny thing is, the original Bungie had less resources, didn’t use a shop/BP and the franchise made 5 billion. That’s because they did 10 times better work than what 343 has done with infinite and that was over a decade ago. Let that reality set in👍

That’s absolutely hysterical.

The customer isn’t always right?

who they working for if there’s no customer? microsoft and a paycheck? we okay with them just tanking a prominent IP? (clearly that’s what we don’t want but I digress)
I just miss the passion. BRING US THE PASSION!

343 employees don’t work for the customer, they provide a service for them.

Obviously customers cannot buy a product if they wish but acting like they have any real autonomy over the product is ludicrous, especially as individuals.

So many people hating on the game and play it regularly ha.

Didn’t know I was dealing with one of those

man to me service counts as work!
regardless, I know the negativity can get grating. they just bumbled up so many just, seemingly obvious QOL things that people would enjoy-
hard to not harp on it

No, I don’t enjoy it, I’m just at a point where I’m like, just shrugging? I learned to not expect anything but the least possible from 343i after Halo 4. I’m not some sad devotee to this company.

The hilarious part is, this IS the best one they’ve made so far and it plays better than any of the old ones so… Like, I’ll take it.

SPIT THE FACTS! YEAH!

It means the maps weren’t properly play tested before launch. Poorly designed in terms of balance yes. Just like people complain now the maps were terrorised at launch. So was AR starts.

Don’t be rude.

Can you calm down please?

Just take a break from the forums.

The shield doors really were just absolutely terrible camp sprees.
