The thing about work/life balance is you have to actually work

This is the true face of heresy: one who would subvert our faith and incite rebellion against the High Council.

Can’t go wrong with Halo mods on MCC, even great alternatives like Project Cartographer and SPV3 which are better than vanilla MCC CE and 2.

This would be under the assumption that they’re not working and I’m sure they are. It just doesn’t seem like it.

I mean this seems like a pretty grey situation. Neither side is necessarily right. Even though a healthy work/life balance is important, we have to have some form of organization visible to the community.

And I can’t stress this point enough. Do not force yourself to play this game or to post here. It’s okay to take breaks. Drowning yourself in all of this negatively is not healthy. Do something that makes you happy and come back when YOU feel ready.

Don’t stress about Halo not living up to its potential. It will get there.

IMO, Joe did a poor job in the article explaining things. I think, having read it several times now, the implication was that they’re extending the season in order to focus on the QoL “drop pods”, coop, and Forge while not inducing crunch in order to also fit Season 3 or, later, Season 4 content into the workload at the same time/for the whole duration of the “drop pod” work. Thus, the piece about work/life balance. While disappointing, personally I’d rather they be focused on the QoL stuff to get that right so they’re not stacking content on top of systems that are still in need of overhaul.

Oh, well thats simple - Forge. I don’t know what else there is to want from what is essentially a glorified map maker/editor. Give the people the ability to produce and share maps and that should quell a lot of discontent.

I hate Halo Infinite and the people who worked on it but even I think this post is asinine. The coders work for 343, 343 works for Microsoft and Microsoft works for themselves. No one works for us and if I worked at a place like that and someone off the street said I worked for them I’d laugh in their face

Now you’re just goalpost moving., You’re saying Infinite HAS more content than Halo 3 did, implying what Infinite has right now is more than Halo 3, this is false.

We’ve got to get pass the idea of comparing the companies of 343i and Bungie. They’re two different companies with two different paths.

Yeah it does, because saying Halo 3 had forge like its a drastic increase in content is a fallacy. It was basically non existent.

There were a handful of decent puzzle maps and zombie maps available (and only because of unintended exploits to forge).

There are plenty of things one game has, the other doesn’t. Acting like Halo 3 had a much larger breadth of content is just silly.

Infection was in Halo 3 day 1, race however was not as it was a mode made in Forge.

Not as a launch playlist. It was playable in custom games granted.

Doesn’t matter, I’ve been reading this entire thread and you’ve been trying to move the goal post from “Launch content” as your initial argument stated, to “Launch playlists” which are two VERY different arguments, and no matter how many times you try to use a technicality to state Halo Infinite has more Launch Content than Halo 3, you are objectively wrong from every standpoint.

Insert gif of slamming the desk and screaming thank you here

If we list out every game type, every map combination. Every setting.

You’re picking what YOU think is important and equating it to being more content. So infinite didn’t have Infection at launch? I don’t care.

Halo 3 didn’t have dedicated servers at launch. That’s a big one to ME.

It’s subjective, all of this.

My point is being people are stating it like it’s massive difference, which is silly because realistically the content at launch is highly comparable.

Excuse me What? You cant genuinely believe this

Halo Infinite took me 25 hours to beat on my first playthrough.

Halo 3 took me 6 hours.

Hahaha! The dedicated servers that Halo Infinite has play just as bad if not worse than what Halo 3 used.

Halo 3 was easier to speedrun, nice. Your point?

I constantly had registration issues, never got host and plenty of yellow bars on US dominated hosts.

Of course that was partially due to my parents internet, but it regularly favoured US host.

Infinite is Infinitely better for me.
