From the halo war games video, every time you get a multi-kill, beat down, assassination, heatshot, and even just a plain old kill… it flashes text above your hairs, just wondering if anyone else finds that distracting and annoying at all? hopefully there will be an option to turn it off.
watch the video again and tell me that isn’t a little distracting? I would like text on the side, of my screen or bottom.

Looks incredibly annoying to me and I can’t see why they’ve put it in. You’re already told the same things in the bottom left.

I really can’t find a thing I don’t like about the new HUD (Aside from the medals, which are said to be placeholders.)
It is one of the little, subtle things that I have the biggest problem with. I don’t need it or want it right in my view. I don’t want it in my LOS. Keep it off to the side like before. The medals are still on the side of the screen, so why not put it there instead of right in your face?
Its just a new design I suppose. I didn’t mind it watching the videos and I have never really minded it in other games that have it. I honestly kind of prefer it for no particular reason other than I just like it.
I absolutely hate the feed that appears above the reticule. It will be distracting and it will be annoying to many players.
I want a clean reticule, not one that is cluttered.
Its high enough above the crosshair, and small enough to not bother me at all IMO. When you are so involved in a firefight, I doubt you will notice the text at all.
I don’t need the game to tell me I got a beat down, I pressed the melee button, Duh. It’s clutter, just more stuff on your screen to kepp the attention of your eyes. I hope it doesn’t make the final cut of the game.
I really hope this is an optional feature that can maybe be turned on/off in the settings menu. It is really redundant to have it show in text on the dead center of your screen and on the left above your radar as a medal, all while an awesome announcer yells it at you simultaneously.

Having said that, if it is not optional and it is going to be there no matter what, I’ll get used to it.
i think its more to tell the player u killed the person. theres a bunch of times where i thought i killed someone in previous games and the kill didnt register as mine so i got assist. i do as well agree this should be optional but if not i can adapt lol.

I’m hard of hearing and I can hear the announcer fine…

That garbage above the reticule can be considered spam as well.
It looks fine with me.
I like it, just not right there.
I dont want to see anything in my cross hairs or in the middle of the screen. Having the +10 points text in the middle of the screen needs to be either left out or optional.
I know it goes towards your weapon drop but on the side of the screen will do just fine
I think it should stick to the corner as a guy who gets allot of kills,my screen gets a little too cluttered
I hope that gets changed before the game goes gold. I can’t stand the cluttered reticle. Bad enough in Reach when a kill by superlongGT with a headshot extends to the reticle. Now it’s right above the reticle every time you get a kill? Eugh.
