They shouldve been mandatory watching in some form as far as im concerned because of the context they offer the story to people who might not understand whats going on
everyone who i showed the full length terminal vid to always said the stroy overall made more sense after watching …they shouldnt be left to easter eggs in levels
Thank you !!!Finally someone who agrees with me.
Halo 4’s story should have/would’ve made more sense if they found some way of incoperrating finding the terminals into the main story. e.g instead of fighting knights…again during the level Reclaimer, they should have made the last half of the mission more focused on finding the terminals and eventually meeting the librarian.
Agreed! I read the books so the story made sense, but my friends I played with have no read the books and were super confused at points. After they watched the terminals after it made much more sense.

That was a stupid comeback. Your so smart. Good job detective. I would have never figured out that the books was separate. /Idiot. it contains more story than you get from campaign. I’m just telling the op. Hopefully he’s not as dim witted and close minded as you. Point proven. Lol
Once you get a little back story of the Didact, The Librarian and the Human-Forerunner War, Halo 4’s campaign makes A LOT more sense and really becomes awesome. Especially the speech the Didact gives after being released.

Woah steady on. Im guessing that joke went over your head.Anyway sorry if I hurt your feelings.
The point that I was trying to make was that the story be well written enough to be understood even without the extended fiction. One of the good things about the original trilogy was that the ingame story was tight, easy to follow (Boring at times I admit but you never had to refer to the books for better understanding).

exactly , my friends and i watched the terminals then played another round of co op and it was amazing when he showed up because you understood his motivations so much better
Also I think they need to be viewable in the in-game theater. Although that can be fixed when they implement theater mode for Campaign and Spartan Ops.
It would make more sense to simply not include parts of the main story in the terminals to begin with, especially since they are either always hidden or off to the side.

This completely. It didn’t need to be all the terminals, just one extra cutscene that explains information from two of the terminals so the Didact’s motives make sense.
