The actual betrayal system is flawed with the fact that sometime you cannot boot(or getting booted) someone that deserve it or not. I must say that i’m against no-friendly fire, friendly fire must stay in the game, you must be punished for your mistakes (I’m talkiong about -1 to the scoreboard not booting)…
Some situation where you don’t deserve it but you might get booted anyway:
You’re snipping the enemy at 10x scope and your friend pass between your enemy and you for 0.10 sec and shoot…
Splatter a teamate at 1 km/h with a scorpion or wraith.
Spartan laser and enemy vehicule when your ally has just hijack it but you coudn’t see it or react before its too late.
ETC…
Some situations where your teamate deserve to be booted but you cannot do it:
Troll players that just lowering your sheild but never kill you, using AR, beat down, or plasma overcharge, etc. yes they are so -Yoinking!- anoying!
Plasma pistol trolling you when youre on a warthog.
So the system I suggest is this :
- The system does not work with kill x time a teamate
- The system work with x damage done to a teamate, let me explain:
Figure yourself that every spartan have 50% of shield and 50% of health (not sure about this).
When you take down your teamate, you are basicly doing 100% damage before he die.
A troll doing 70% damage to you over and over cannot be booted.
Ok so… instead of the game punishing for kill its gonna punishing your for the ammount of damage you did to your allies.
Lets say that your only going to get booted from the game if you did the equivalent of 5 kill damage to your team, which is 500% damage total. So no more trolling! Teammate won’t start to shoot you just to lower your shield or stealling your sniper, because they’re going to be afraid of getting booted.
So that benefits the good players who accidently kill teamates, because your gonna have the equivalent of 5 kills before getting booted, which is alot while punishing hard trollers.
Another system that has already been stated before is ‘‘in-game veto booting player system’’, bascily, all your team can put a ‘‘veto to boot’’ in the scoreboard menu. But it could not work because I admit that I would myself abuse this system, I would try to boot the horrible players that just give kill point to the other team.
So that’s my idea: punishing for x damage percentage, not x number of kill. What do you think?
