The system of which flaunts my SKILLZ

So what do you, the Halo community, believe the ranking system is going to be like within Halo 5? I personally enjoyed Reach and Halo 3’s version of ranks. The overall flaunting rank that appears on your player card/Gamertag (Recruit - General/Beyond ranks -Forerunner, Mythic, Etc.) with the skill rank 1 - 50 added on for ranked playlists.

I enjoy competitive Halo, but I do enjoy reaching new Global Ranks as well because it puts a smile on my face when I reach Lieutenant.

I always thought a hybrid in between the 1-50 and Reach’s Arena system would be bomb.

But the 1 through 50 works really well.

Gotta say, I wasn’t a massive fan of Reach’s system. The ranks were simply a measure of how much time you’d boosted in Firefight, and reaching Onyx never had the same prestige as getting a 50. Halo 3 had it just about perfect. Only thing I’d change is tweaking the formula away from a simple win/loss system; nothing felt worse than carrying your team to 45 kills and getting deranked at the end of it.

I really think that this particular skill system with obvious tweaks here and there would be best:
Keep their tier system, but:
Single player team game modes: Stays the same
TEAM player game modes: If you win, you get an extra amount. each player is based solely on skill. If you lose, you lose a bit of points, off of your player based score. You will always gain points, and continue to be ‘ranked’ well, if you win with a great score, lots of assists, or whatnot. Something that shows you have skill. But, if you lose, and you’re terrible, you lose significant points. If you win, but are still crap, you get a little amount of points, but not as much as the guy who lost, with a great score. It should be a mix between the two, I’m sure tweaks would help.
