The sword spawn was in the middle of the upper section for a reason, it was a powerful close range weapon in an open area. It was a risk reward that made people run through the open centre to get a power weapon.
Putting the plasma caster there all but defeats the purpose. The sword is in a safe area now and the plasma caster isn’t worth risking your life for. It takes a long time to charge up and it"s almost less practical than throwing a sticky grenade. As a result, almost no one ever goes on the bridge. The only time I see someone go there is for cover or to capture a flag faster. The way they had it in the Beta was perfect, why change it? I don’t understand 343’s decisions.
