the story of spartan howard-428

personal log entry 102715 date 7/29/2556

“soo u want me to say in this log entry my past?”
“it’s for book of the first spartan-4 live before being spartans”
“fine josh”

i was born in arcadia before the covanant hit the planet again.
this time they where going to take it. my dad was a UNSC ARMY troop my mother a normal 32 year old woman by the time they met.
they met on the evac of arcadia from the first attack.

“ma am get on the ship now where evacing the planet”
i dont care im not leaveing my home why cant i stay with u guys"

“sarge is going to kill me for this but ok”
in that time they started to get to know each other and soon they fell on love.
not long after in a part not attack by the covies they lived there with the rest and got married.
5 years after they got married they had me and then the attack started my dad was called for service to fight.
3 days into the fight and it looked as all hope was gone 1 day the covies attacked the camp me and my mom where in as where moved to a camp for easy extraction
then the covies attacked the camp they hit it hard before it happend my dad saw the covies going to the local of the camp and againt orders he left with a squad or troops to defend.
i dont remember much of that event but all i know is that it was sad my father took out about 40 grunts 10 elites and 5 brutes untill a brute came in cloaked bit off he’s head.
not i and my mom watch as there was nothing we can do.
not long the army came in and took us to a ship for evac

Wow.

I am lost for words, such was the magnitude of this work’s brilliance.

The way that a story supposedly about Howard focuses on his Dad and Howard is only a minor character is a stunning way to defy genre conventions.

“i dont care im not leaveing my home why cant i stay with u guys”
Amazing. I find it impossible to read this Shakespeare-esque dialogue without breaking down into tears. From this line alone, I can tell that this is a woman who, when faced with the choice of running or staying, has chosen to stay. She has risen up and above the human condition and acted with uncommon courage that so many of us lack.

No, but seriously, awful grammar and spelling, threadbare story, cheesy dialogue and overall I get the feeling this was knocked together in about ten minutes without it even having been proofread.
