I love the game Halo 4, I hate the story. Rule #1 with Halo is Master Chief does not fail.
In the Story for Halo 4 Master Chief Failed, and that is unacceptable.
Much in the same way that in the story for Halo 2 was criticized and extremly unpopular for leaving Cortana behind with the Flood.
It is a long standing tradition in our services not to leave people behind particularly when it’s your job to protect them.
I was hoping that in the evolution of the Halo 4 story with Spartan Ops that the Epic failure of the story would be fixed but it has not and when it looked like it was getting close the story took a turn in the wrong direction.
If the story does not get fixed or appear to be on its way to being fixed through Spartan Ops I seriously doubt I will consider investing in 5 & 6.
Now if the friendly fire issues could just get fixed on the Ops missions with vehicles the game would be perfect…after the story gets fixed.
Chief isn’t immune to failure. He never has been. He refuses to fail though. Thats one of the reasons that makes him a strong character. Seeing him fail and actually lose something is good because its character development. We see more of the Chief.

Ssssoooo you don’t like the story because master cheif didn’t save cortona??
> In Halo 1 the Chief didn’t save Keyes or the crew of the Autumn
>
> In Halo 2 the Chief didn’t save Cortana from the Gravemind
>
> In Halo 3 the Chief didn’t save Miranda or Johnson
>
> In Halo 4 the Chief didn’t save Cortana (again) or those poor scientists
Master Chief has had his fair share of failures in the past too. Not just in Halo 4. Remember, he failed to save Miranda Keyes and failed to save Captain Keyes. Hell, he failed the whole Keyes family. He also wasn’t able to save Johnson.
