What do you guys think about Halo:5’s storyline, multiplayer, customs lobby?
I am just kind of curious on everyone’s opinion on the game.

I enjoy the PvE aspect of Halo 5’s multiplayer, despite its numerous flaws. As for PvP, I dislike Warzone, Halo 5’s BTB feels cramped and lacking vehicle variety outside of one or two maps (BTB Heavies would have been wonderful but we didn’t get that), and I can’t say much about generic 4v4 stuff since that was never my thing. For those reasons, I don’t really play PvP multiplayer like I used to in previous Halo games. Just hoping 343 pays more attention to BTB for Halo 6, and realizes Warzone isn’t a good replacement for it.

I like the idea of the customs browser, but it’s kind of sad that the community filled it with so much garbage.

Mediocre at best. It’s been over a year since I last played the campaign and I can’t remember 20% of the story. That’s to show how bad the story went for me.

It’s alright for the most part. As Nate00000000000 mentioned, BTB (which is my go-to playlist) feels cramped, lacking vehicle variety/action in the majority of the maps. Never liked Warzone besides WZFF. Don’t get me started on the team balancing.
There’s Spartan Charge which I absolutely despise.

Customs Lobby in a nutshell:
- Clan recruitment - Clan recruitment - DayZ - Clan recruitment - Assasinations - Clan recruitment - The occasional good custom game - DayZ - Assasinations - The random “free” Achilles helmet - Assasinations - Clan recruitment - Clan recruitment - Assasinations - Assasinations - DayZ - The occasional good custom game - Clan recruitment - Clan recruitmentDon’t ask why. I don’t know how these people find enjoyment in those.
Halo 5’s story line was a joke
Multiplayer is alright, but could’ve been better imo
Custom lobby: Smart idea but as Bluechief mentioned above
It’s a okay game, not the best Halo but just okay!
Campaign story was meh, kinda cliched with the whole created vs creators thing.
Multiplayer was fun IMO. Warzone just got to repetitive. Needed way more randomness and more objectives for the enemy AIs. It was really easy to predict what and where they were spawning. Arena didn’t get truly good until the BTB refresh.
Customs is probably the most under used aspect. I usually have a lot of fun there but even I don’t use it as much as I should. I thing they should award RP and XP for customs. I know what you are thinking … but leathal then they could “farm for it”… But that is why I think you shouldn’t be awarded very much and it should be capped every 24 hours. Like make it you can earn a max of 10000 RP and 50000 XP per day or something. I just don’t know what the criteria should be for awarding it. I guess they could work out some system for points and XP for hosting a game, amount of time in game, kills in game, and completing games?

(Trying to differentiate it from that linked topic from before, just to give it some uniqueness)
The story was extra trash. Basically has to contradict lines from Halo 4, and can barely stand up on it’s own because the main villain is terrible and half of the heroes have no connection to said villain.
Its pretty good just I dont like the way dul mdama died so early in the game and that you dont get to play with blue team as much as red team
For the people who dont want spoilers pretty good not as good as reach but i still like it
People just kinda like the multiplayer side

Campaign:Overall meh and ruined more stuff in more aspects than Reach did.
MP:Not bad but not that great really, it’s mediocre at best.
Customs:Dont have that much experience other than the one Comedy makes. Not bad at the least.
Story is forgettable but I’m a fan of the online.

Why though? Because it’s a little shorter? Besides, there’s already a Red Team in Halo. They’re in Halo Wars 1 & 2.

Honestly thought it was pretty bad compared to other Halo titles.
I have no idea why they brought Buck back. Other than to maybe make some older Halo players be stoked about it which I can only see as an act of compensation.
They made Master Chief to talkative for my liking. I thought most spartans were suppose to be a bit of a sociopath, with hints of narcissism and he just seemed to friendly, I liked the old quiet chief.
And what they did to Cortana was corny. I swear a lot of games are like mad libed or something. Lol
Multiplayer however is great. They’ve added almost every weapon/armor in the whole Halo franchise into the game along with some classic maps. It is perfect for returning Halo fans (if they can adapt to the new mechanics lol) and new ones.
