Yeah. And I don’t regret having nostalgia goggles for this specific change in the game industry. Lol.
i literally played at reset with bots 7 matches to get the exp and was looking for certain weapons to do some challenges, every team member was doing the same and the game almost went into tie closed it after an hour and booted up destiny…i am really sad to tell you the truth…i was looking at my guardian colours weapons and armor and felt like halo was a poor cousin…the gameplay is top but today standards you need more…give people smth for the time they spend…
The problem is that HALO and GEARS are franchises that are still stuck in 2000 to 2010, they are games that have not known how to evolve or adapt to the video game industry.
His fans are the problem wanting to continue playing the same thing after about 15 years. Obviously a gamer from 2020 will find very “rare” and “boring” a game that feels so old
Even quake-champions feel like a modern version of quake 3 but HALO-INFINITE feels like the same thing of always
Lol onyx player… that’s like rank 18 in the old school halo 2 rank system…
im laughing at his response as if being an onyx player is some type of big accomplishment. lol i hope he’s trolling tbh
To rebuild its community Destiny had to make short its original lifespan and release a sequel. Do not forget about that before calling someone a fool. Or are you really talking about Destiny 2 launch ? Because it was far less desastrous from the first one. The damage IS done for Infinite. I am not saying it’s doomed. I said it’s worrying. People left and won’t come back if 343 don’t make changes. And even with changes some won’t trying again because the video game market is over saturated. Thank you for enhancing my point by pointing that Destiny made mistake upon mistake and people left only to come back when drastic changes were made. Which is exactly what I mean for Infinite. It cannot stays the same.
So about numbers. Friday seems the most played day of the week so I’ll choose this day every week to update the topic (for as long as I think to do it) and I’ll udate the first post each time.
Launch day: 256 619
Friday november 19th: 199 431
friday november 26th : 151 731
friday December 3rd: 112 872
Twitch is another source to see how fast the population and hype for this game is declining. When the multi-player launched it was the number one game streamed. Then about a week and half-ish ago it was the 8th most popular game streamed. Today it’s the 22nd most streamed game. A very steep drop since it was released not to long ago.
Same that’s why I’m not as bothered by these shop prices. As long as the Campaign is good, I’m happy.
Actually, you brought something up that not many seem to take into account. The two other major AAA FPS releases at this time both have performed poorly. You would think that would make it easy for Infinite to swoop in and get players burned by those other releases (especially since Infinite’s multiplayer is free to play), yet the fact that the playerbase is dropping so much already shows that Halo has issues, too.
Indeed although I think it’s not as good as steam as an indicator. A lot of game are heavily played but streamed little for various reason. I think act man video was cool on this particular point with the exemple of smash.
It would be nice to see a player count with a map of the world like back in the Halo 3 days to get an exact number to see the drop in population.
Please drop your halo tracker link , you need to qualify yourself when talking to me.
Infinite is dropping mainly because it has so little content, you mention Destiny 2 as if it being older matters, what matters is that Destiny 2 has far more content than Infinite so people choose to play that instead.
Population will ebb and flow basically.
but Steam isn’t the only part of the PC community, there’s us on the Xbox App as well not accounted for
Lmao. Grow up man, who cares about stats? This isn’t some elementary school where you show your Pokemon cards
I can understand that argument.
true… it doesn’t include those whom play on the xbox app or a xbox console. but would it really be surprising if the same thing was also happening with them? i’d say no
People will tell that people are dropping Halo while Vanguard and BF2042 aren’t even close to Infinite LMAOOO
If you wanna throw some numbers around you gotta put them into perspective and context
It is doing better than its competetion and it isn’t even fully released yet
Once everyone starts playing campaign also numbers will go back up
The core gameplay is awesome, 343i is dedicated, Halo’s close future is looking bright.
People really tend to forget what a mess the MCC was, the Launch of CP2077 was
a gift from the heavens compared to it yet a few years later down the road it has become
a pillar of classic Halo gaming.
Point is, once everything works no one will care about the stuff is getting discussed today.
Was thinking the same thing. Don’t judge by one platform. I know a lot of people playing multiplayer on console right now.
