The steamcharts aren’t scary for the game’s future. It’s pretty much what I expected to see.
Most are probably playing through gamepass anyway since you get the campaign included and Steam doesn’t include Windows store or Xbox players in its charts.
Yes but Steam is the main pc platform. I don’t think gamepass is used as much than steam. and If numbers are dropping on steam they are dropping everywhere. Probably.
Being a fan of the film series aliens. Aliens Fireteam Elite looks a bit of fun. I want to be scared!
I’ve bought a huge library of classic games on GOG for $100 the past few months by tracking sales. These games will in total provide hundreds of hours of a variety of gameplay for me.
This game was made for esports not the casuals , they are cashing in on esports, I have made a post about this already , and you are talking to an onyx player.
It’s funny because literally nobody cares about the halo “eSports” scene. Even starcraft has a more lively scene.
Same here. I can barely get 65 fps no matter if settings are in ultra or on low. Doesn’t make sense. I switched a few years ago from Xbox to pc, and this game is the only one that acts weird with the graphics. It’s like it doesn’t use my gpu to its fullest. Gtx1080 runs gears 5 on ultra 1440 at 80 fps all day.
Yeah I said this the other day too…
The playlists/game types/weapons all purposely built for HCS. But they have been pushing it for the past few years. Money has been spent.
If they put halo at the top of the esports calendar in theory it’s success should trickle through the social casual and forgers too.
I mean starcraft has always been massive in the competitive scene. Especially in nations like korea where it is a very big game
Just looked at the chart. Halo infinite 20th. That negative trend looks awful.
I do wish Xbox would release data like this.
I mean, I can see how someone who isn’t a Halo fan would get tired of the same stuff in just two playlists and that’s it. And when there suddenly is something new, it disappears after a week,
Not to mention that there is a massive amount of players that prefer FFA (especially in CoD), and this game gives them nothing.
Why are the pouring 250k per event at a loss if no one cares ? Do some math 300 teams x 300 Team pass is $90,000, that’s before the venue , equipment , staff. -140,000 DOLLARS
Yeh know the feeling. Had to get new PC that should be easily able to run it and runs painfully bad.
You also need to include all the PC players that play on Gamepass which is not playable through steam. Many of my friends have gamepass and play through the gamepass client instead of steam as they will also be playing the campaign that way since its on gamepass day 1. While steam is a good indicator I still feel there is a large group on PC people playing on gamepass but who knows how we get those numbers.
Because the game is mid that came out around a time where other new releases were a travesty. Anyone that says the gameplay is great needs to explain the greatness of it. It’s bland, generic and repetitive.
Well there’s tons of negative press but also the game properly comes out tomorrow. You’ll see it top the chart again very soon.
It’s funny that you used Destiny 2 as an example, because that was a controversial release that struggled to maintain its audience for a long time. Bungie made huge changes to the game and added lots of content to reignite their player base.
Pretty hilarious in a post about how “the damage is done.”
Destiny 2, Warframe, No Man’s Sky, Sea of Thieves
All games with shaky launches saved by expanding content and restructuring over many, many years.
We’re playing a new ball game. I can’t say for sure that it’s going to work out, but only fools are writing early eulogies.
I agree about the death marches going on being overkill. Definitely.
But something else people have pointed out thats fairly reasonable is that we’re becoming more used to the increasing pattern of half releases and then years later the game becomes what it was initially envisioned to be on release day. Not fun.
you aren’t wrong, for why this keep happening?..i guess because of how the business/industry has changed?
