Recently I played MCC multiplayer and tried to get into a slayer match but I waited for over 10 minutes and still didn’t find a game, so I went back to play the campaigns. This clearly shows me that the MCC is dying and I find this really sad since I love the MCC now and love halo 1-3’s multiplayer. Do you guys have any ideas on what 343 can do to possibly revive the MCC or is it truly dead.
I personally never cared for MCC besides wanting to play H2A and Halo 4 at 60 fps, and I think that goes for most people, that said, the game types are filled with things that aren’t H2A, and thus people don’t want to bother getting into small scale arena battles in the 8th generation of gaming.
The game doesn’t have a player counter, Reach has more active players than MCC, so go figure.
Your guess is as good as mine, but games are becoming increasingly difficult to produce due to budget limitations, I think MS needed funds to give 343 to complete the second trilogy and had them slap the original trilogy into one game and throw H2A along with it.
This is head-canon, but I’m pretty sure Halo 4 didn’t need any work except doubling the frames, it was made for xbone.
That’s my 2 cents, anyway.
I don’t have much trouble with MCC but maybe I just happen to pick the most active playlists. I usually play HCE and Action Sack and I get into matches pretty quickly.
Well MCC is on sale for $20 right now for Microsoft’s big summer sale, so that might bring in some people.

They won’t fix it, they’ve racked in the cash, made Halo 5, and undoubtedly are developing Halo 6, if not now, then soon.
If it takes too long I usually just quit the game then come back and it works fine.

I’ve been having no issues myself finding lobbies. However just because I have had no issues doesn’t mean no one else does either. I’m sorry to that this is still happening to folks trying to simply play the game and have to wait way too long.
