I don’t what to say about this, but that scene with the trees when you boot the game up just looks like something off of a PS3… It looks so tacky!!
The rest of the backgrounds are fine (the customization menu and multiplayer etc) but that tree scene at the start seems so underwhelming to me , it does not scream next gen gaming at all.
Why haven’t we got a nice view of Zeta Halo from space or something like that ?
Hell I’d literally prefer the halo reach mountain background, anyways hopefully they update or change it in future cuz I really don’t think that’s a good enough introduction to the game.
The 2020 Demo menu screen (before the delay) was so clean. They should use that or make an even better one with that style and colour.
It’s not so much the background as the shadows (and lack thereof) used in the game’s open world. You can go watch the Digital Foundry tech review for a more detailed explanation.
Nor would it, as Halo Infinite isn’t a next gen game, nor have we properly entered next gen. Almost 2-years in, we are still firmly stuck in a cross-gen era of gaming thanks to manufacturing issues, supply issues, and COVID restrictions.
Once the Xbox One line (and PlayStation 4 line) are properly retired by developers, first and third party, then we’ll begin to see more proper current generation games.
I feel this should’ve been the start screen, as it’s an amazing visual, and is reminiscent of CE’s start screen https://www.halopedia.org/images/e/e8/HINF_Zeta_Halo_Destroyed.png
It’s a weird, ugly loading screen. Personally I think the background when you are staring at a Pelican with your Spartan hanging out, is terrible.
Yes this is exactly what i was thinking of!!! Looks so much better its crazy
