The Halo 5 Beta sprint poll says that 11% of players didn’t want sprint in Halo 5. Believe it or not, 343i ISN’T lying. They got this info from the Beta feedback emails, in which anyone could have participated in.
So deal with it, the 11% of people that don’t want sprint are 90% of this forums. 343i wouldn’t lie for such a stupid reason. They don’t want to keep sprint if the majority seriously doesn’t want it.
Here’s an example of what’s happening. Say there’s 100 people on these forums. 80 of them don’t want sprint. 343i sends a poll that includes some Halo Waypoint members, and a bunch of people who are only mildly interested in Halo 5 and don’t waste their lives on forums. 11 Waypoint forum-ers are chosen to vote as well as 89 of the other groups of players that don’t waste their lives on forums. They all like sprint in Halo 5, so they vote yes. That means 11%.
Deal with it as you will, but more people in this world like Halo 5 with sprint then without it. Though I would agree that there should have been a no-sprint week of the Beta.
It wasnt a flat out lie but it was very deceptive.
It was not a yes or no poll. There were varying degrees of grey in the middle. I am totally against sprint in halo but even I would have voted for one of these shades of grey.

Or we tried and walked away from it , because they just continued on thier downward spiral. I was thier customer , unfortunately I have been more disappointed the longer 343 tries to “modernize”.
Microsoft has allowed thier console selling franchise to be pimped out and desecrated.
It doesn’t matter if it said “11%” or “110%”, the point is that we can turn sprint off now.
If they were just going to go with what they wanted, they would have just left it … especially if it’s “only 11%” … but here they’re adding a compromise between the anti-sprint crowd and … well, everyone else who isn’t stuck in 2007
And I will certainly playing with both sprint on and off, because I like variety. I also like to allow myself to enjoy more than one thing … life’s better that way when you don’t hunker down behind a very stubborn & narrow set of absolutes and refuse to come out except for to tell everyone else that their’s is wrong … that’s why I like all four of the games in the MCC and Halo 5. Lucky me, huh?

But that is not true… according to Josh Holmes @Twitter it was a five point scale and the 11% includes the two negative picks

Me and a lot of others love this game. You will be missed.
Sorry to come off as whiner or what ever , I’m just extremely tired of watching a great franchise fall to dust. I was never a great player by any stretch of the imagination but I enjoyed vanilla Halo. Haven’t enjoyed it much since the advent of armor abilities and their subsequent off-spring.

I appreciate the sentiment but I highly doubt it. I will at least rent them until the end of Chiefs story however.
I love every Halo game regardless of campaign and multiplayer, I think they’re all really fun. Halo 2 Anniversary is fun in ways, Halo 4 is fun in ways, and Halo 5 is fin in ways. Aren’t you glad we have Halo 2 Anniversary and Halo 5 at the same time? We can have a favorite, but why can’t we just play the two games in unison and switch off? Halo 5 shouldn’t just be Halo 2+, because we have Halo 2 right now. I’m just happy I have a large variety of Halo games to choose from on Xbox One.

What about those people that actually like dog poo, and thats why they vote for point 5?
No, serious, I feel sorry for everyone that still believes 343.
One thing, if people like this game. Do you really think most of them would like to visits this forum and interact with people here? Not exactly the friendliest place, especially for those who like a lot of the stuff. So that would probably skew results significantly here. I remember most people here on a poll during the beta wanted sprint I think.
I bet they’d get the same results they’re claiming if the poll was about the features of Halo 4… but we all now how popular that was after 6 months.
It’s obvious to anybody who pays ever-so-slight attention that Sprint is widely hated. At LEAST more than 50% want it gone. The ones who want it gone REALLY want it gone, whereas the ones who don’t care/like it wouldn’t really care if it were removed.

Ugh… I know what you mean. I came to the forums after playing the beta to interact with others and share the excitement i have for Halo 5 only to see this community seems so divided and stuck in this halo Ce - 3 era. Let alone if you like the beta and like how 343i is making Halo 5 that you become this “non-true fan” or you become a “casual”. It’s like the most active members on here want nothing to do with sprint or halo 5 yet they are on this part of the forum quite often.
343 is leaving in sprint because the majority like their fps with sprint want it. They are a business first! If the majority of players didn’t want sprint: they would accommodate. Why? Because they want people to buy their game. They are not just putting it in or leaving it or leaving it out for for fun. The majority of true Halo fan’s wanting sprint is another story, in reality there will be a much higher percentage of people buying the game merely because it is another triple a shooter tittle or they are a casual gamer. Thus the reason Halo 4 was created, not for just us diehard fans. This is where the majority of our problems stem

What possible reason does 343 have for deliberately biasing, falsifying, or otherwise misrepresenting a poll? You realize that they are a business, right? And business have a goal of maximizing profits? And that if no-sprint were actually as popular as you believe, then they would have to be deliberately sabotaging their own business by doing what you seem to think they are doing?
And what is your source of information for believing that sprint is, actually, that hated by all the people who play Halo? Is it this forum? Other forums? People you chat with online? Just how much of the Halo fanbase have you actually interacted with to reach that conclusion? More than 10? 100? 500? 19,000?
OP’s wrong on one important point: they didn’t poll people who had casual interest, they polled only the most experienced Halo players, averaging over a month of Halo play time for each individual, and there were 19,000 of them. The cold hard facts are that most people aren’t against sprint, but the most vocal people are the minority.

How about the death of Halo 4? That speaks volumes.
