> Halo 6 could be the game EVERYONE wants by removing sprint in campaign (yes because who the -Yoink- needs TWO movement speeds in campaign???) and
> arena multiplayer at first I thought a no sprint playlist might be optimal but hear me out. I pretty sure the new spartan abilities (save -Yoinking!- spartan charge) would be GENERALLY accepted in a halo game if they werent accompanied by sprint it would feel more competitive more strategic and would also still be recognizable to the fine tuned experience we got in halo 5. Warzone and customs would be a whole other beast entirely retaining ALL the features that made halo 5 successful would keep warzone great and would also allow more options for custom games, for those people that actually wanted to play in a sprint arena type setting they could actually fire up the in game custom game lobby adjust the filter and be good to go! lets face it, sprint has NO place in competitve halo and to argue that it does would just be absurd. this would allow arena maps to continue to be designed the PROPER way and please the vets and basically everyone whos willing to give it a chance and you wouldnt lose much of your sprint loving audience at all because there would still be sprint in the game it would just take a backseat!
> Thoughts? :3
I see where you are coming from, it’s just it can’t appeal to EVERYONE, because there are players who enjoy sprint. I have been playing since 3 and 3 was my favorite, but I prefer the movement in more recent titles like reach or 5, and so do other players. No matter what not everyone will always be satisfied. Sorry if this was wordy and had bad grammar.

> All you whiney babies need to grow up! If you don’t like what Halo is doing then don’t play it! When I don’t like what is happening to a game I STOP PLAYING IT! I bought starwars battle front and played for awhile because I love starwars and the original 2 games but I got fed up with how terrible it was so I STOPPED PLAYING IT!
most people have…however if halo is your main franchise its alot harder to just “stop playing” there arent alot of options…MCC if i want shells of a game that barely even work right…halo reach with its…what 20 frames per second with backwards compatibility? im playing halo 5 now mainly just so i dont start to suck at it when halo 6 comes out…if halo 6 is like halo 5 im done…

> Im getting really tired of this argument. Sprint is nessecary for the large scale warzone maps! Otherwise it’d be freaking tiny! Unless you want to keep the size and have it be like ragnarok where it took an hour to get.to the other side only to be killed(can’t wait to hear the hate on that one).
>
> Sprint is an innovation, we can’t stick to everything being the same, eventually it will get broring. Inovation is everything, if you want halo to be original halo then go play halo 1, 2, or 3.
>
> If you don’t want it then leave halo, this is what it’d become. WE EVEN BALANCED IT FOR ALL YOU HATERS(I agree with the balance to it btw. It makes the game faster paced, so leave it, its still your choice if you want to use it or not.

So different people have different opinions on what should be done with different franchises? Not really a groundbreaking observation.
A few years ago, everyone I knew wanted Sprint as standard. Why can’t any one be happy? Maybe there should be an option to turn it on and off in a menu.
Man this childish and petty.
I’ll be honest, I played a Warzone game and told myself to try and play through the entire match without sprinting. It wasn’t all that bad actually and it felt great. I thought it be a struggle getting across the map but the walk speed is pretty good and wasn’t a problem. The cool thing was I got to pick off people better because I was moving slower and more importantly… I for once got to soak in 343’s environment.

Exactly you don’t even need to sprint if you don’t want to.

Not true, would you like to know why infinite warfare has so much hate going at it at the moment?(hint, record breaking dislikes for a vid trailer) CoD being the same game all the time is really just a stereotype that people use simply cuz they dislike the franchise, I say it all the time myself when people compare halo and CoD, but reality is neither stays the same game by game.

Most people would argue that gameplay for CoD has stayed the same for many years. Zr0 has argued that multiple times. Infinite Warfare has hate, but until sales numbers comes in, I wouldnt use a Youtube trailer dislike ratio to say that a certain franchise has lost popularity or sales.
What Betrayyal is probably trying to say is that, if Halo had stayed the same as it always had, would there not be people, similar to Infinite Warfare. who dislike how it is simply a 2-3 year rehash of an old game? There have been people wanting something like sprint in Halo since Halo 2 days at least. We hate on CoD for staying the same, we hate on Halo for trying to change. The only thing in this scenario is, change depends on your own definition of change.

The reason people hate IW is because it’s in space. They hate the boosting. Surprising if you think about, because they also want to go back to the classic MW. If it had something to do with it being the same game, don’t you think people would have stopped buying them? People like things that are familiar to them.

The big difference being CoD is released every year. People complain about that being the same for different reasons. They see CoD as a cash grab because of this. While CoD does make changes every year (I guess people consider them minor changes), people literally play the same Halo game for three years for every installment and no one complains about that beause they’re only buying one every 3 years.
But as I said to Betrayal, gamers aren’t a single entity. Different people have different opinions on what different franchise should do. It falls in line with the concept that many people still don’t understand for some reason: not every franchise should be treated the same way.

Could lose a lot if they don’t, or find a way for both players to co-exist. Personally I found it more fun w/o sprint, cause you had the tele-porters and other stuff that was used to get around the map.
