There are quite a few posts where people explain other things they see as issues with sprint, while advocating an increased BMS.

> Have to say, I am pro-sprint and besides the REQs( alright idea, horribly executed) I am happy with this new direction halo is going. Sure, we could just keep it the same as halo CE/2, but most games tend to evolve with every new iteration(shock!). If people were seriously so fussed with how halo is though, they wouldnt buy it and would just populate the MCC servers. But that isnt the case, and while we do have vocal people complaining about such things, you really can’t say they represent the vast majority. As for the opinions of Vets or competitive players, why should their opinion of the game hold any more worth than the majority, or me or you? I laugh everytime I hear the word Vets, like it instantly holds more worth or something and the opinion given must be true or something.
> But hey, just one guys opinion, but it seems many people are fine with sprint. I mean, look at the likes of the original post compared to just the second post.
> #12222 post!

Nobody argues, or very very few do, that Halo shouldn’t evolve. It’s just that the direction is not liked.
There are other directions to go.

While the MCC servers are indeed better now for more players than when it launched, how many actually care at this point? If people want a new Halo which is a successor to the original Halos, not being a reskin of one of them, and not on the path of the current ones, why would they want to play games they’ve played before?

I don’t know about vets but I’d hold the opinion of a few top competitive players higher than a vast amount of casuals average players, on how the game should play. Not because I’m a competitive player, but because generally, top players play at a level where imbalance show far more than at average level play, they experience and notice what works and doesn’t. How would an average player not benefit from a game balanced around top level play?

But why should the majority hold more weight in an opinion? Because it is what they want and they’re the most?

So, if I don’t sprint, the effects of other players sprinting will nott affect me?

power up

As a veteran Halo player, I can say that sprint is necessary, but also with limits. If you can sprint for more than 5 seconds, then it would be pretty bad. Although, I must say that I really liked what Reach did. You could either sprint for a little while, jetpack, cover yourself in a shield and so on. That worked pretty well.

> Have you played Halo 2A in MCC? It is quite an amazing multiplayer experience and came out in 2014, long since sprint has been around. It is devoid of sprint and is the best (imo) Halo out there. It still plays quite fast too without sprint, as does the original Halo 2 and CE. It isn’t necessarily an improvement, nor regression, just simply different.
>
> And suggesting that someone put themselves at a disadvantage because they do not like the mechanic is silly . People who don’t want sprint in Halo don’t want it to be slower, they just want to.be rid of the differences in gameplay, strategy, and map design sprint has an impact on.

Halo 2 and Halo CE are clearly great games just like they are , and is pretty sure that I could say as you that Halo 2 was the best , these are classic games , but what I say is that sprint is not a problem and is not as bad as the first publication suggests it , and thinking it better, you are right, if you don’t use sprint you are slower but too you can be in a kind of stealth mode , and the different abilities as that increase the ways to develop and enjoy the game in different ways.
I would agree to see an additional game mode excluding sprint , but not taking it out of the campaign and other multiplayer modes

Just imagine Warzone without sprinting … in my opinion the game would not be as exiting as it is , the maps are enormous and the normal speed is not enough

So why not just increase BMS & problem solved without needing Sprint.

Take sprint away in campaign but still have boost

THE ALL NEW SPACE MARINE SUPER SOLDIER. CAPABLE OF DESTROYING COVENANT FLEETS ALL BY THEMSELVES. AND ARE SMARTER FASTER AND STRONGER THEN ANY OTHER MARINE.

So ummm, whats his abilities…

Welp…he can maybe run…or maybe hit something with a charge I’m still deciding.

MCC sold a ton of games, its popular now right? Idiots. You guys are like trying to argue with a 6 year old who just thinks having the last word makes them win an argument. Which also explains the hundreds of pages of the same idiots and their 2nd waypoint accounts.

(Bold) Really? Your really going to use that as an example?? We all know why TMCC isn’t that popular, come on man. If it wasn’t one of the worst launches in video game history I think things would be a lot different.

I imagine smaller maps. Warzone is only the size it is due to sprint. Honestly, the amount of time it takes me to get to point A to point B in Warzone sprinting takes forever due to map size. I spend more time in warzone (and somewhat in other modes) not shooting anyone it’s ridiculous!!! it reminds me of Battlefield… And no I’m not a bad player, look at my stats. That’s my biggest complaint when it comes to Sprint is, it still causes too many big open spaces where you’re not doing anything other than sprinting (minus maybe sight seeing…lol) Halo 1-3 MP never had that problem IMO. Take some things from H5 MP and add them to H2A and oh wow! That’d be a game I’d really lose myself in!

I think it’s pretty unrealistic and boring if you play a game with Spartan super soldiers that can’t run…

So you’re going to use Halo Lore as the basis for why we should be able to sprint? I guess we should be able to grab missiles and toss them back since that was done in the books also.

I’m so tired of this over used argument… that and the old argument of “Well if you hate sprinting you should just not sprint”.

Here JoelWelsh1998Hunterkiller040SORZUSZANEWatch this

I think we could keep sprint on certain playlists but defenitly remove the Spartan carge

He also can’t swim, what’s your point?

I disagree completely in remove it from campaign, and I think that Warzone shouldn’t be the same in a smaller map , and this discussion don’t seems to be easy to solve because we are all talking from many different points of view, some stronger than others , but maybe we have equal parts , so there is a half to each point , I think that in this case it could be developed two game modes , and make the sprint something optional as the score , do you understand? As a setting were we could put it on or off

Sprint killed Halo. Absolutely killed it. Game cannot hold a population at all ever since sprint was introduced. It just doesn’t fit and it fundamentally alters the game.

There’s no way I can read all these, I kind of wish this thread would go away. Some like it, some don’t, I get it. It’s part of the game, deal with it.

You couldn’t of said it any better. That’s why I stick to older Halo titles like 2 and 3 because the fundamentals of those games are perfect. Sprint implemented into Halo doesn’t feel or play like Halo anymore. Please bring back the golden-triangle 343i :frowning:

It’s not even that it doesn’t feel like Halo. It just doesn’t feel good.
