Look at halo CE, a large difference between the perfect headshot TTK and the long body shot TTK, easy to pick up and get slow kills, but hard to master and get prefect three shots. Good map design, a high BMS, and projectile weapons cause high skill gunfights with strafing, but in halo 5 with a low BMS and hitscan gunfights require little skill to point and shoot, let alone the powerfull autos. Sprint dosn’t add to gunfights in any way, it adds depth to movement when you aren’t fighting, but we aren’t here to play running simulator. We’re here to play halo.

Halo 5 has incorporated sprint in a very nice way, and kept the halo feel except for a few OTHER aspects. The problem is the misplaced blame onto sprint. Sprint in not problem in H5. It was in reach and H4, I will agree with that. Now that the player base is starting to recover BECAUSE of H5, you people want to then divide that community? Are you high? It has become very tiresome explaining that something as simple as a nerfed sprint mechanic cannot kill halo. I’ve been around on this thread since day one. I’ve been inactive lately but I’ve easily read 300+ pages of this. You clearly stated that more options add depth. So why does csgo have more depth than modern cod with all the boost jumping. Because movement options that can’t be used in combat don’t add more depth to combat, which is what matters. As for us being a minority you still haven’t backed that statement up once.

I swear sin made a company forum about this. Either way this is a very active thread so you can get a lot of replies fast and it feels like your getting ganged up on but this is just a fast moving thread

Have to say, I am pro-sprint and besides the REQs( alright idea, horribly executed) I am happy with this new direction halo is going. Sure, we could just keep it the same as halo CE/2, but most games tend to evolve with every new iteration(shock!). If people were seriously so fussed with how halo is though, they wouldnt buy it and would just populate the MCC servers. But that isnt the case, and while we do have vocal people complaining about such things, you really can’t say they represent the vast majority. As for the opinions of Vets or competitive players, why should their opinion of the game hold any more worth than the majority, or me or you? I laugh everytime I hear the word Vets, like it instantly holds more worth or something and the opinion given must be true or something.
But hey, just one guys opinion, but it seems many people are fine with sprint. I mean, look at the likes of the original post compared to just the second post. #12222 post!
There’s a difference between disagreement but acknowledgement of points made, and outright going “you guys don’t make any arguments and sound like 6 year olds”.
