Multigravitational maps
Zero G areas combined with Multigravitational maps
While on the ground, double tap movement thumbstick in a direction to perform a short evade.
While in the Air, double tap movement thumbstick in a direction to perform a longer thrust than evade.
While in Zero G it functions like a space “simulator”, no up or down, your axises can rotate freely.

All human weapons have alternative fire modes which are selectable
All covenant weapons have secondary fire modes which function like the Plasma Caster and the Plasma Pistol, hold the trigger to charge, Carbine shotgun burst anyone?
All Promethean weapons are modular, meaning you get a basic promethean weapon, say a bolt shot that shoot only straight and then you need to find Promethean Modules with different attributes to “upgrade” your weapon, and it can only hold a set amount of modules. For instance, pick up a Rapid module and a Seeker module and you’d have a Suppressor rifle. A Scatter module and a bounce module and you have a Scatter Shot. A Seeker Module and a Scatter module would have a shotgun firing seeking projectiles. A Rapid module and bounce module would make a Suppressor that fire non-seeking but bouncing projectiles.

Health implemented again, but regenerating to an extent. You need to have Biofoam stored to be able to regenerate health, and biofoam depletes at an increased rate the more health damage you’ve taken. So, if you for instance regenerate 10 points of health it could require 5 points of biofoam, but regenerate 20 points and it would need 15 points. Biofoam can be picked up from the map, and shared with team mates.

More environment hazards and control points. Lockable and openable doors, windows, gates, floors, roofs etc. Extendable bridges and so forth. Controllable environmental hazards, open a door to let lava flow into a a room etc.

Teleporters changed to function like Portals from Portal in a manner of ways. You see what’s on the other side.
Travelators, escalators, conveyor belts, moving platforms etc.

Then not have Sprint and Clamber.

Put Spartan Charge on a charge up like Rail guns and Splasers

I think that’s it

nope i am noping the hell out of here

I agree and disagree at the same time. people want to have the old halo back, but others would like to keep it because we are so use to it now

If big maps are warzone, small maps are 4v4, medium maps are btb. Don’t need sprint on btb maps, got plenty of vehicles on them to get around in.

this is of course only taking into account that the small maps are to legacy size and not H5 size. If you remove sprint in H5 arena you’re going to have massive issues because of the size of the maps. This is something we can lay out in future installments, not something that can be implemented unless separate playlists are made for none sprint arena, the maps being community forge maps only.

I feel as gamers we should easily adept to the changes and future of mechanics. Believe it or not halo 5 has a bigger fan base and more active community. Sprint appeals to a lot of players. Just going to have to accept that it will never leave now.

Across the series there’s about eight size brackets I figure.
I was only talking beyond H5G.
If a Classic Arena playlist comes to H5G it would have to consist of community remakes of classic maps.
Also a Classic Arena playlist could use modified Breakout maps.

  • adapt, not adept Also, its not a matter of adapting, its a matter of what’s best for gameplay. I’ve yet to see a compelling argument for how/why Sprint is best for Halo.

Any credible sources that say Halo 5 has a bigger and more active community, or is this a baseless claim you came up with because you like how the game is?

Sprint also doesn’t appeal to a lot of people. Your point?

When Reach and Halo 4 were the most recent games, there were people that said the same about loadouts and armor abilities… Universal Sprint has been in two games, that doesn’t mean its going to be in the next one.

sounds like UT for me, but yeah why we don´t try it.

I think the biggest problem classic halo fans have is that the fact we never saw halo 2/3s formula die out or get thrown away because we got bored of it. Halo Reach came out and all hell broke loose: the AAs and bloom, art style, maps, etc. At that time a lot of halo fans tried halo reach and those who didn’t like it moved on from Halo or went back to Halo 3. And through the years Halo 3s population kept dropping 1. Because of newer Halo games 2. The direction halo went and 3. People actually got tired of playing the same game for 6-7 years.

I knew Halo 3s problems, believe me: the lag, shots not registering, getting lag switched and so on. But I also know that those games had something special in terms of addictive gameplay and skill progression. I don’t want just a reskinned Halo 3 sold to me, but I want a Halo that didn’t dump all that winning formula it had once in sake of “games are 2016 now, get gud or get out, must run faster and climb that ledge, groundpound on ground like maniac and have no sense of control, also make so that headshots with sniper are stupidly easy”.

We never saw Halo 3s formula die, it was taken from us by Bungie and kept away from us by 343i…

Fast kill time and no sprint? Rip this idea…

Remove sprint!!

Simple solution: a variant of each mode that disables sprint

> Halo 6 could be the game EVERYONE wants by removing sprint in campaign (yes because who the -Yoink- needs TWO movement speeds in campaign???) and
> arena multiplayer at first I thought a no sprint playlist might be optimal but hear me out. I pretty sure the new spartan abilities (save -Yoinking!- spartan charge) would be GENERALLY accepted in a halo game if they werent accompanied by sprint it would feel more competitive more strategic and would also still be recognizable to the fine tuned experience we got in halo 5. Warzone and customs would be a whole other beast entirely retaining ALL the features that made halo 5 successful would keep warzone great and would also allow more options for custom games, for those people that actually wanted to play in a sprint arena type setting they could actually fire up the in game custom game lobby adjust the filter and be good to go! lets face it, sprint has NO place in competitve halo and to argue that it does would just be absurd. this would allow arena maps to continue to be designed the PROPER way and please the vets and basically everyone whos willing to give it a chance and you wouldnt lose much of your sprint loving audience at all because there would still be sprint in the game it would just take a backseat!
> Thoughts? :3

I refuse to buy any story or multiplayer game that doesn’t have sprint. If halo 6 doesn’t have sprint in the campaign I won’t buy it. I don’t want to just and feel slow as a frog or go super fast like in old arcade games without being able to feel that I am running and smashing. I want to feel like a dude in a power armour not a dude in a tin with shields that walks through an area and kills.

-Yoink-, this page has been blowing up, still here for the last week

It’d be neat if these kinds of abilities could be affected or given through equipment (that Halo 3 pickup with a one-time use).
I feel that it would give more need for learning map locations, much in the way 1-3’s required to an extent.

Sprint is a core mechanic and halo 5 wouldnt function without it

If you carefully read even just the first sentence of the OP, you’d see he’s talking about the successor of Halo 5 (which may or may not be called Halo 6).

If you don’t like sprint then get tmobile

Haha.

Maybe your onto something here. I bet everyone is confused on what this thread is really all about. Probably all AT&T, Verison, and TMobile reps here calling for the removal of sprint. This whole thread is just one big subliminal message conspiracy…Roswell Style!
