More cheap easy kills on offer and that doesn’t feel like Halo to me.

> I love all of the Halo games for different reasons but what you’re saying is kind of true, Halo 5 feels different and seems like it’s almost impossible to stay alive. It would be nice if they shifted a little bit back to the Halo Reach feel where it was a lot easier to keep yourself safe and alive if you knew what you were doing.
Better not let half the anti sprinters on here hear you say that. Being good at staying alive, escaping, and having the tools to do so is Halo blasphemy!

Most of the abilities and mechanics that were put into Reach were meant to be put into the series earlier, some even in Halo 2. Bungie didn’t put those mechanics in because they didn’t have time and didn’t have the best set up to do it then, but if they had, then Halo 2 and 3 would have been super controversial.

There’s no evidence to the contrary. With how much of Halo 2 was cut or reworked due to time constraints, i.e. entire campaign levels, weapons, enemies, etc, we have no idea where sprint came into play.

But they still didn’t feel the need to add it in the sequel on the new next gen system, if they were so keen to implement it in H2 but couldn’t due to time constraints it would have 100% been in H3, hell why not put it in ODST it would have been the perfect proving ground, spin off title, no PVP multiplayer, don’t play as a Spartan, yet they still didn’t.
I personally like sprint. It makes for fast paced game play at certain times, and also provides a better chance to get away out of a fire fight in order to find cover for a shield recharge.

It is true that they could’ve put it in 3. But they didnt. I’m not arguing how or why they took it out, I’m just saying that there is no evidence to either side of when or why they removed it. Though ODST was running on the same engine as 3, so I’m not surprised its not in there. (though Halo online was running in the 3 engine and Has sprint).
But they did decide to put out it in reach, which release less than a year after ODST

True, it shouldn’t be said definitively that it was cut due to time, but with the amount of cut content, we can’t be sure when or why it was cut. So neither side really can be sure

In what world is something legitimate just because there’s no proof otherwise? Your own fantasy world I’m sure. Have fun in it, but I’m in the real world. I care not for your nonesense.

Ha. Ok. You make a definitive statement saying there is absolutely no proof of what he said. That’s pretty contradictory to what you just responded with to me. In what world is something illogical simply because we have no evidence for it… Oh…wait…

There is no proof of what he said. I know you’re not a big fan of facts, but it’s none of my concern whether ot not you accept them. But if you’re gonna be discussing it with me, either accept it or prove me wrong. One or the other is fine.

He Doesn’t really clarify when it was cut. That is one set of tweets by one dev. Doberman doesn’t really respond about why. And it very well could’ve been they didn’t have enough time to balance it.
And everything gamecheat says is pure speculation.
BTW Certain Affinity made some pretty good halo maps, both for games with and without sprint

Sprint was in halo 2 during development. They took it out because they said it ruined their “golden triangle” of gameplay. Weapon melee grenades.

What about the other dev(32) saying it was a crutch? There wasn’t just one dev in there, there was two.

> There is no proof of what he said. I know you’re not a big fan of facts, but it’s none of my concern whether ot not you accept them. But if you’re gonna be discussing it with me, either accept it or prove me wrong. One or the other is fine.
And you didn’t respond to him there with any proof either. I know you’re not a big fan of facts or logic unless they appeal to your side. But that’s not my problem. All we really know about the H2 sprint is based on some animations. And your 2 tweets by one dev. But by using logic based on what we know of H2’s development, how rushed it was and how much content was cut, we can understand that there is no way for us to know, as fans, when it why it was cut. That is the bottom line. We don’t really know. And we are supposed to take that one dev’s word for it in a tweet, simply because it appeals to your argument, and ignore what Josh Holmes said advocating for sprint, simply because it goes.against what you say. Logic right there.
It just shows how flawed both sides of this argument are.

Or they recognized the problems it caused with the gameplay (like he said) and decided “why include a mechanic that causes more problems than benefits”. You know, like good devs do.

He was the ‘one’ I was referring to. Hoberman doesn’t really make heads or tails of sprint other than to say the game was fun with no sprint, and that crouch jumping helped Halo 2 succeed in his opinion.

Personally, I think I’ve heard and seen many points supporting why one high BMS will definitely not replace sprint and would make Halo worse… Anti sprinters would tell you different, but I do agree insofar that no one should be here with the intention to “disprove,” “dismantle,” and/or “destroy,” opinions from our fellow fans about this.

Thank you for more if your speculation that is oh so ok for you to use, but heaven forbid any one on the other side
