There is a character in Overwatch who has sprint. Probably one of the best characters in the game.

Sprint is a mechanic that is both used and not used by games in 2016. So when you say things like Sprint is something from the past you sound like an idiot.
It’s akin to me saying " oh you want to play on a Playstation? Go buy a ps2!" When they still make new Playstations today.

FFA issue won’t be sprint because they’re played on arena maps and the spawning ticks people off. I literally don’t need to sprint in swat or FFA and I won’t give myself a disadvantage doing so because 1. The maps are so small 2. Because they’re so small I’m not penalizing myself by not sprinting
and 3. Because I’m not sprinting I have full combat readiness unless I were to clambor. Sprints effects only show on the bigger maps from my perspective, not so much in arena unless you like to lose you’re combat readiness to sprint 5 feet before getting shot at. FFA being lowly populated (and truth be told it’s never been one of the highest populated to begin with) has to do with spawns, player numbers constantly being changed game by game, and then being matched vs higher/lower ranked players because of its low pop.

FFA is my all time favorite playlist so I am very adamant about 343 making changes to it. Another guy who is trying to get 343 to improve FFA is a guy named Vetoed, one of the top FFA players out there. He has a few YouTube videos on the subject and “refreshed” maps he has submitted to 343 to consider implementing into the map rotation (they have different power weapon spawns and and spawn locations, etc.). If you’re interested in learning more about these ideas feel free to look at them, But they have nothing to do with this thread so that’s all I’m going to say on the matter.

I’am aware. Vetoed has been on my friends list since Reach.
I don’t think any of this can “fix” FFA in H5 though. But as you said, this is not the thread for that discussion.

Hey man… I feel you. Those are definitely the main problems in FFA along with other things that could be alleviated with some “refreshed” maps geared more toward FFA.
But you’re right, it’s always been one of the lower populated playlists and really, I don’t think anything could change that, because FFA just isn’t for everyone. You either love it or you hate it, no matter what changes are made. It’s just one of those gametypes

Sprint was not in past Halo games. OP stated “thing is halos 1-3 were fine without sprint in the campaign and the arena aspect”, so this thread started by OP directly referred to past games
My response to this was “if you keep looking tot he past you fail to move forward”, this is me saying don’t look to the past. Or can you not understand that basic concept? You then told ME to stop talking about the past. Do you not see how that’s a little bizarre?
Again, Halo 5 has sprint, its not going away, if you want to play Halo without sprint the options are to play the old games or limit yourself to not using sprint.
What do other games outside the Halo franchise have to do with whether HALO has sprint. Sprint hardly influences Overwatch. Everything is designed without sprint.
