I like Sprint. I can’t imagine Halo without out it now.
But if they removed it I wouldn’t really care either way.
Just FYI I’m 1001 comment. lol

I agree
Removing sprint Would bring back the original feeling but if u think of it sprinting has its advantages getting to locations faster , spartan charge ability, and etc…
the Sprint is necesary for big maps and I like sprint is good
I wonder how many people here have played the new doom.
The movement in that game is the direction future Halo games should take. No sprint, but very fast movement speed. Mantling and a slight double jump that can change a player’s direction mid air.
You could even add slide and ground pound to it.
The new Doom gets a bad reputation because certain affinity(H4 MP devs) butchered the MP just like they did with H4’s. The campaign though, is amazing. Especially the movement which really nails that immersive super solider feel much better than H5 does.
H5’s movement feels really clunky in comparison to Doom because you have to slow to a crawl in order to shoot in H5 and that is the inherent issue with sprint in games with long kill times. Which is why high BMS is a much better fit for Halo than sprint is.
Wrong, you need two movement speeds to add variation. As much against sprint as I am, I think the idea is good.

Why?
You don’t need sprint to accomplish this.

Tails not being mean but doom isnt really one of my favorite games personally I am more of a PVP type of player and if you guys have Halo 5 we are looking for recruits in the brother hood of steels.
I think they should keep sprint, makes online more fun!

I started with Doom 3

I played the New Doom and hated it. The base speed is ridiculous like everybody is running around on -Yoink!-. I will not play any MP game with base movement speed that fast.
But in all honesty, i’m in the middle of “yes sprint” and/or “no sprint”.
I wonder if They will Bring Back They Brute Shot Honestly That Was one of my favorite weapons to use in halo 3 and the concussion.
Like or Quote if u agree.

Doom’s movement may have no sprint, but that doesn’t make it similar to halo. Also, 343 made halo 4’s mp and certain affinity made halo 2A if I am correct. If you want a clunky feeling BMS, play halo 5, then play CoD.

but you want sprint? Which is the same speed except you can’t shoot.

Exactly. I like that players have to slow down to shoot. It makes it a tradeoff. If they are sprinting and I am not, that gives me the advantage(excluding that stupid spartan charge which I do despise). But that is just my preference.

Most of H4’s MP was outsourced to certain affinity.
COD doesn’t feel clunky though because it’s kill times fit with sprint. In COD you’re sprinting most of the time and only stopping for fractions of seconds to shoot. In Halo, because the kill times are long you’re dropping out of sprint to what feels like an incredibly slow speed a lot. In fact, the majority of the gameplay takes place in this slower speed.

The new Doom is sick, and the MP isn’t even as bad as most people say it is (though it definitely does have issues) most people just try to play it like Halo or Cod and that gets them styled on reeeeeally fast which will turn off 90% of gamers

That doesn’t make any sense to me.
I guess that’s your preference but unfortunately you seem to be in a tiny minority as halo MP has been a ghost town ever since it introduced sprint and the awkward pacing it brings with it.

I don’t think Tails is saying make it the speed of Doom, I think he’s saying that kind of idea.

I think your right on who made what games. Not to sound like a 343I hater, but my god I wish certain affinity made the maps in halo 5 and future Halo games. The H2A maps look AMAZING! And the interactive environments adds so much to the games. H2A maps are my favorite Halo maps ever.
