They had as much time as they wanted. It says a lot that they didn’t even bother testing it for h3.
The only reason it was in Reach was because they had a new MP lead developer for that game.

I am envsizing your spell mesaks, because your arguments have been disproven or are bogus claims.

> Having sprint in a Halo game doesn’t ruin Halo. Just because a mechanic got added into the game doesn’t mean it changes what is Halo. Really, sprint is a nice feature to have. Yeah, I don’t use it constantly, but I use it when I feel the need for it. Really, you should be thinking about how 343 is trying to add newer things to Halo to make a great game even better. Yes, sometimes they’re not exactly on point with some features, but that’s why our feedback is important. If you seriously feel like a small mechanic like sprint breaks a games, what about something like assassinations? Or some of the other mechanics that was introduced in Halo: Reach, Halo 4, and Halo 5?
I was cool with ninjas, they took more skill than holding melee and grappling your opponent when they were out of melee range. The animation for assassinations takes too long, I have them turned off in Halo 5. Halo 4 was trying to be CoD, and–did you even read anything in this thread? I don’t think that you even need to answer that.
Just want to get people’s opinions about my suggestion. Remove sprint, but add in man cannons, teleporters, lifts, and maybe even a speed boost pickup that last 10 seconds on some maps in key locations. Hit the button if you agree with this.

No, because they got to that corner by sprinting there, thus prolonging the engagement. You have to be trolling.

A lot of people liked classic Halo Gameplay. Why didn’t the people who were complaining about there not being sprint remain quiet?
If chasing is bad, then why would you sprint to a weak player hiding in a corner?

I fully agree. Don’t like sprint? Don’t sprint, fine by me, your just an easier target. I personally believe sprint was one of the few things that has improved what little needed to be improved about halo.

I meant, it can’t be something ridiculous, like loadouts. Lookin’ at you Halo 4. I think sprint is the meta for FPS right now, along with microtransactions. Halo needs to stay fresh. You don’t like sprint, assassinations? Ok. That’s fine. Don’t use it. The Halo Community used to be accepting of these kind of opinions. Lets try and keep it that way.

We have had sprint for 6 years now. Also Halo 5 only brought with it Warzone, at the cost of the rest of the game and lack of content.

Because you aren’t really trying to argue that sprint has any positive affects on the gameplay, you just say that sprint doesn’t make halo not halo(which is a fair opinion). Yeah it is nice to sprint away from battles, break map flow and double melee/charge but those are unfair deaths to the enemy. Not everything you add to the game makes it better. It might make it worse…
>
>
> I wasn’t giving positive aspects of sprint because there really isn’t big positive aspects to it nor is there big negative ones to it. sprint is sprint. You run faster and have more of a chance of getting away from a player trying to kill you, but at the same time have more of a chance of getting caught and killed. My point though wasn’t things like that. My point was that saying something as trivial as sprint breaking what makes a game franchise makes no sense. Halo is always going to be Halo when it comes to small mechanics like sprint being added into a game. Now with that said, I don’t have a problem with sprint. I use it when I feel I need to. If 343 decides to take it out, it won’t bother me. If they decide to keep it, it won’t bother me.
Read back a few pages. There have been many reasons given as to why sprint isn’t just sprint. It has changed the map design of Halo, for one thing.
In classic Halo, I had more of a chance of getting away from an opponent by knowing the map and calculating both of our movement–and by practicing good positioning. It’s like I was taught in Martial Arts: the best move that you can make is to not put yourself into a dangerous situation. Of course, there are times that I intentionally do that (in Halo), but it’s usually for the sake of an objective.

Actually advanced movement is the “meta” for FPS right now, but you don’t see Battlefield going and making a game like COD or Titanfall. Just saying. Staying fresh when sprint has been in the game for 6 years. Such argument, much impressive, very FPS.
