Halo with modern modifications though.

There were five possible answers: “strongly disagree”, “slightly disagree”, “neutral”, “slightly agree”, and “strongly agree”. Why did they only give us one instead of telling us how the community felt as a whole? Or at the very least who “strongly agreed” with sprint? Do you not think for yourself?

> How do you figure that? In my post I said the 11% was those who strongly dislike sprint. 343 said the same. If anything your the one reading between the lines. Sure, they don’t post the all around numbers of people neutral or that kinda like or dislike sprint. But to make up any type of numbers to try imply the amount of people that make up these other percentages of participants and/or the reasons why they weren’t made public is in its self waisted breath, or in this case waisted text. Thats becase you or I can/will never get these facts or knowledge to post them. If we do post something, other than if it were to come from 343, its just numbers or reasons we’ve made up. The only actual facts here are what 343 posted…and that is that 11% of the 19,000 people that participated in that user feedback poll strongly disliked sprint.
>
> Now I’m going to assume something here. If I had to guess, which I’m doing, I’d say 343 only posted the results of people that strongly dislike sprint, the 11%, because they must feel that is the very vocal minority and, they would be the ones that were going to complain about sprint being in H5.
>
> How many anti sprinters in this thread are the “strongly dislike sprint” type do you think?

I remember voting in this topic and i remember thinking to myself my vote isn’t going to mean anything. because even though the H5 beta was super early its not in a stage where they were deciding whether or not to implement sprint, that was decided long ago when they had begun making the multiplayer maps and maybe even earlier when designing the campaign. I voted on a simple dislike,I don’t hate sprint and frankly H5 without sprint would be horrible simply because of the map design. sprint is part of battlefield and i need it to get across the massive maps, sprint is part of cod because of the run and gun twitch gameplay. however when you change the way you make maps simply to add sprint you make a decision to change the way a game played previously. you make it so that if people want classic maps to return you can’t just upscale the graphics but upscale the size as well. this breaks some maps because where there was no cover in previous games there has to be cover now simply because of the space you have. an elbow in lockout wouldn’t work without tons of cover, a mid in guardians/lockout wouldn’t work (you thought you were exposed before sprint, make mid 2X the size you have a no mans land)

No you cannot because most map traversal in this game requires some kind of combination of sprint jumping, thrust, and mantling.

343 fan boys will defend sprint until 343 comes out and says they are removing it. Once that happens all the fanboys will suddenly agree that sprint is terrible

You make it sound like every time you saw another player in previous Halos it turned into some elegant coordinated ballet of crouch-jumping with a litany of platforming when in reality most fights were just strafing from left to right trying to dodge your enemy’s BR or Magnum shots.

Not every time but often enough to really add to the game. Plus this stuff didn’t just take place in 1v1 fights. Map traversal in conjunction with teamshooting was constant.

When was this? I don’t remember them posting it.

Sprint can stay, Spartan charge can get the -Yoink- out of halo

Actually you can melee it twice and it will break

Enlistment for the program was up for awhile in one of the WP sections, but I don’t remember which one though. I know they mentioned it in their community updates in the past.

You’re acting like the results that they shared is proof that anti-sprinters are vastly outnumbered, but the results didn’t even include everyone who was against sprint. At best, that poll doesn’t tell us anything one way or another. It just told us some people don’t like sprint. Duh, of course. But that information means nothing when it’s not counting the entire group that dislikes sprint (of the people that participated in the poll of course) and when there’s no numbers to reflect the opposite opinion.

343 worded things very specifically to misguide us. It’s something they do alot and that was just another case of it. Another half truth.

Sprint has been in the series now for six years. It’s time to innovate the series with something new, like the removal of sprint.

Well I found the community program and I think I’m signed up a year ago.

No thanks. I like sprint the way it is.

Keep sprint! Bring back Local Co-Op

I completely agree, I love Sprint and Clamber for the accessibility options. Without Sprint how can we (Sprint - Crouch - Jump - Thruster Pack)? But I could see sprint reworked into older Halo maps. At the time, Sprint wasn’t as “essential” for the mainstream FPS gamer, now its a generic mechanic most people expect to be there. Like getatme94 says "the people that can’t get over it, are what breaks halo.

And make it rated M again not this T crap no blood no cursing
