But there are people commenting like this comment “Halo needs to evolve”. Do we need to write same thing over and over when you could just look up about 300 pages to know why? If you insist I will write for you.

Who are those people, oh yeah people from Call of Duty, Battlefield, Titanfall, etc. Why would 343 make a Halo game for them? Why add and change things to get them? They will still play their game, even though Halo has sprint.

This will result in your already established user base to drop significantly. This is Product Management 101. Also by being as close to COD, BF, etc. as possible you start to lose the identity of why a franchise was so popular. Just something to think about.

Halo 5 has been out for 10 or so months and is roughly estimated at 20,000-30,000. So what you are saying is that Halo needed to replace NINETY-FIVE THOUSAND people for 30,000? So there is evidence of Halo 5 dying, should Halo change back to the Halo 3 style of play?

For instance, on May 4th it’s at 181,169, then at 5th at 43,977, and on 8th it says just 26,202. That said, the URLs do give the exact time stamp of the snapshot, but it’s kind of a pain to get useful information out of this. Unless you happen to have compiled it all into a database for whatever reason.

> Unfortunately we do not have any concrete evidence as to why halo 5 is failing to maintain its population compared to h3, a mix of many things I am sure. All we can do is speculate and the obvious thing to look at is gameplay. Considering we have documented evidence that gameplay changes to an established tittle can negatively effect its player base it is no surprise that we end up drawing the conclusion that this might have something to do with it.
I would argue that the MCC launch, microtransactions and the removal of splitscreen did more to hurt H5 than sprint. I think we need to first fix those things and then on take out sprint. That being said, if H6 has sprint I might not be buying it. So I’m sure that they lost some sales on sprint, but I don’t think that it is the primary reason H5 is failing to maintain a good population.
