It seems that 343i cares more about what 1 or 2 players are saying than the rest of community

I’m going to disregard how big of a fallacy this is and how it indicates that you have no real argument to make and point out that I have played more than 3 times as many games in Halo 5 as you have. So, I guess your posts are objectively worthless and you should just stop wasting everyone’s time.

Ignorance gets you nowhere. Yes, believe it or not, we do actually play Halo 5. Some of us even enjoy it. But fact of the matter is that Halo 5 offers a completely different experience to the one we know and love. It’s not that Halo 5 is bad. It’s not that it’s worse than traditional Halo. It’s simply that it isn’t traditional Halo. If Halo 5 were its own IP, that’d be great! Traditional Halo gameplay and modern Halo gameplay could coexist. But, sadly, modern Halo has replaced traditional Halo. And it replacing that experience is a big deal.

I would still be playing, I love Halo and I play it with friends.

I have a friend who is rank 145 and nearly 100% commendation / masteries in everything, he disagrees with your anecdote; it’s beside the point, the idea is that we all play this game, which I’m much more inclined to discuss with you than someone who doesn’t own it.

Everything needs to evolve, look at any franchise that has existed for 5+ years. I’m sorry you don’t enjoy sprint. One thing that is a fact on the matter is that you are the vocal minority.

Well yeah, there’s another thread with over 300+ posts and a response from 343i about their lack of communication. The only way to be heard is to make loud noise, but do it as polite and constructive as possible to avoid the same trolls your hardship will also benefit.

I didn’t mean to offend you so deeply; you aren’t one of the people I was talking about and I’m sure you’re very passionate about the game. The fact remains: you are the vocal minority.

Why don’t you play the old Halo’s if you’re looking for that traditional feel? Because it’s old and boring. Every franchise has gone under these changes, you have a little something I like to call nostalgia bias.

Not really. If you’re aware of the problems, then you’re aware of the problems. No overthinking required. Just normal thinking.

What does “everything needs to evolve” mean? How is Battlefield 1 evolving by taking you from Raptor fighter jets to bipedal planes in WW1?

You are like a generic text book, fact of the matter. I’m actually giving you a personal insight as to why it’s ruining my experience. You are giving me a scientific explanation of evolution.

What did sprint add to the series that it was lacking? Did it allow Halo to enter the realm of competitive e-sports? Do you play e-sports? Are you part of the HWC team? I checked your profile and saw you and your friend are both part of the winning championship teams, so I’ll stay away from the podium now, Mr. Evolution.

This about sums it up right here. “It’s a video game.”

If you able were to somehow compile each person in every sprint thread, pro and con, that has been on waypoint you probably only have 50-100 individuals on both sides, not counting the people that use alternate accounts. (A mere fraction of people that actually play the game for what it is and never visit any forums.). They just keep posting the same thing over and over again though. I see all the same names all the time.

In an effort to save time, might I suggest that everyone copy all there posts, links to other people post, and YouTube vids to a notes section, or an equivalent, on their electronic device of choice for easy access? That way next week, after this threads dies out, and the next sprint thread gets started everyone can just copy and paste all their reiterated text right back into the new thread.

No, we’re the vocal majority. Prove me wrong.

There’s no way halo is going back to no sprint. It’s mp maps are highly designed for sprint, so removing it would be going backwards

Admittedly, I don’t have the information to do so.

But I will say, everything single poll has gone like this:

https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums/90a6869bcf944c54a17102ac9e31da1a/topics/advanced-movement-in-halo/511b3bf8-044d-4659-9877-307341ff0239/posts?page=1#post11

More than double end up in favor. But again, we can only speculate.

I think the sprint actually adds to the game. For one it adds the Spartan Charge and two it lets you get places a lot faster like in warzone where there are huge maps.

The vocal minority? Whew boy. You’re just full of logical fallacies. Let’s assume you’re right. Because Halo 5 shipped well less than half the copies Halo 3 did and the majority of the people who dislike sprint are not playing Halo anymore. I suppose you would prefer to pretend that the dwindling population of this game is not a problem? You really think it’s a good argument that the people who haven’t quit Halo entirely are mostly the people who tolerate the unnecessary “evolution” of the series? Change is not inherently progress. It is not inherently good. And Halo being at an all time low in terms of cultural relevance, reputation, and population makes a pretty strong argument that this “vocal minority” of which you speak is just a minority of the already small number of people who care enough to talk about this game. Not a minority of Halo players overall. Just keep at your apologetics, though, if it makes you feel better.

So wait…let him have his cake, how much of the majority’s ideas have made it into the game? All of those modes that you got? You had them in the first 4 titles day one, all of those maps? You played them in some form through recycled version from day one. Infection? Forge? Make me laugh please. What’s old is the fact that you kids can’t seem to understand the time value of a dollar and consider mom’s purse your only bank. Get a job, maybe a few kids, and you’ll realize why people fight for quality over quantity. Sprint that.

So there’s no chance they can’t re-scale these maps to make them fit in Halo 6? I mean with the amount of crap that got dropped or edited last moment for Halo 5…you’re telling me that over the course of the next three years they can’t figure that out? This studio needs to get dropped before I drop this franchise.

If you can’t wrap your head around how a video game evolves over a decade of existence, I simply cannot be persuaded to waste any time dealing with you. The rest of your post is ad hominem garbage.

Honestly? I say a game “evolves” and all you can think of is the era in which a game takes place? Like, a 2006 game takes place in the future and a 2016 game takes place in the past, so you don’t think it has evolved? L.m.a.o.

Look at sales for any franchise that has existed for as long as halo has: Diablo, World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls, just to name a few that you may recognize. Do you know what a bell chart is? Have you ever taken a statistics course in your life? When people bring up the “Halo 3 had more sales!!” argument, I can’t help but lose respect for you.

It caught my eye because I like to look for interesting conversations on the forums. If they removed sprint, I probably wouldn’t care, if they kept it for Halo 6, I probably wouldn’t care. It never felt like it was missing from the old games, but at the same time, it doesn’t feel out of place for me.
