That would be great if the entire game wasn’t designed around sprint.
Why is this such a big problem? If anyone was to complain about anything, I’d think it would be about how some maps seem to encourage camping, but that’s just my opinion. I suppose I should say some more related to the topic so I don’t get flagged or whatever. Keep sprint or don’t, I don’t care just let me play as master chief for more than THREE -YOINKING- MISSIONS! (By the way, I have no idea why everyone says that instead of what they meant to say)
if you don’t like sprint then DON’T -Yoinking!- SPRINT!!! any one is forcing you to sprint, you can still shoot, throw nades, melee, jump, thrust, crouch, scope, you can still play perfectly without -Yoinking!- sprinting, just because you don’t like to use something that doesn’t mean anyone can still use it, sprint stays, thats over, realize it can’t be pulled out the games, and stop with this -Yoinking!- STUPID threads, instead focus on something that really matters like the terrible campaign, that even now we still have not a sell many reqs option, the huge glitches in theater mode etc. but no, you complain instead of -Yoinking!- sprinting, maybe one of the few things 343i has done right.

yes, you can perfecly play without sprinting, and you don’t have any advantage (for example I play much better swat without sprinting) and anyway if It did, it just can’t be removed just because a person don’t like it (that it is really because they’re bad at playing and don’t know how to use it) is like if someone says “I don’t like the plasma pistol because many players make me the noob combo, or because they EMP my vehicles” so 343i removes the plasma pistol NO -Yoinking!- WAY THAT’S GOING TO HAPPEN!!!, sprint is part of the game mechanics now, it would be a HUGE step back if they remove something like a game mechanic.
PD: your example doesn’t make -Yoinking!- sense, “dont like world hunger!? Stop eating!!” wouldn’t it be, “don’t like world hunger?? DON’T WASTE FOOD!!” (what I’m trying to say is that if you don’t like sprint why you still sprinting??!!, like if you don’t like world hunger then why would you waste food??!!, thats what I was trying to say)

Developers are the only one make decision. Fans discussing about certain topics would be pointless then. Developers could just ignore all of us and do whatever they want. There will be always disagreement on certain topics, people debate together to see if it is good or bad for Halo. Right now, people are insulting each other and refuse to listen to others, most of them being pro-sprinters telling others to “don’t sprint”, which is not contributing to none of the sides.

I’ve played MCC too, which has every Halo on it, also I played Halo CE and Halo 2 when I was a kid on my brother’s Xbox live account, so I’ve used to play both styles (sprint and without sprint) and sprint really don’t bothers me, sprint doesn’t affect in anything on the games, is just a running ability what’s the deal??

Removing sprint, increases skill gap. Sprint is also artificially making people seem they are traveling faster, but the maps were designed to keep players further away. Maps like Warlock cannot be a reality with sprint in the game. It just wouldn’t work because one second the enemy team is on one side of the map and a second later they are on the other because sprint jumping is much farther than it was in Halo 2. Removing sprint has so many more benefits to the gameplay than keeping it in. Maps can be made smaller and offer more intense battles since players can’t run away to safety. Also strafing speeds have been reduced because the base player movement speeds have been reduce. In Halo 3 a player could move at 100% speed in any direction. In Halo 5 you can move about 80% in all directions, but only 110% forward. So strafing in a gunfight has less of an effect. Sprint also allows players who are sprinting across the map don’t have to completely rely on their gunskill because they can just sprint up to an enemy and double beat them down. The chess game of well timed, movements, grenades, and shots have been lessened because sprint adds a layer of unpredictability since players can move a various speeds.
I could go on and on. Overall the skill gap has been reduced by sprint and many other spartan abilities. They are all gimmicks, and don’t add much to the gameplay. The only thing worth keeping is clamber, but I think many maps should limit the amount of things that players can climb on. Something like Halo 3’s Onslaught would have been much better with clamber, while other maps a simple crouch jump would suffice.
