The Vets will never stop whining until they get want they want. And all I want is A Shiny Meat Bicycle!

Yes… no… maybe… I don’t know… can you repeat the question?.
.
So after this intermission, can we stop with the one-liners please? (Generally speaking.)

I don’t know if anyone else has posted this video in the thread, but it talks about the effects of sprint on Halo and the perception of the game.

(Video is about 20 minutes long, but worth listening to.)

Maybe, but only if all the newer people to the thread would actually read the first page and then click through some pages to actually find a discussion.

This is a very well done video and perfectly articulates how I feel about sprint

Do we need to write same thing over and over when you could just look up about 300 pages to know why? If you insist I will write for you.
> 1. Sprint is unnecessary thing added to the game.
> 2. It breaks the Golden Triangle that formed Halo’s gameplay.
> 3. Maps get bigger due to sprint, which is also unnecessary change, it is illusion of being fast.
> 4. Sprint doesn’t make game evolve. Let me ask you this, how sprint is evolution? What makes sprint evolving the game?
> 5. Movement becomes generic.
> 6. Sprint is used to run away from battle.
> 7. Map loses variety/diversity due to sprint.
> 8. Game doesn’t need sprint to be fast paced.
> 9. Game should be improved upon its formula.
> 10. The reason sprint was added is very idiotic. What “people are expected to see sprint”? Who are those people, oh yeah people from Call of Duty, Battlefield, Titanfall, etc. Why would 343 make a Halo game for them? Why add and change things to get them? They will still play their game, even though Halo has sprint.

These are all opinions, of which you are in the minority. Those aren’t reasons the feature should be absent going forward.

You clearly don’t get it.

Enjoy sprint in H6.

That time has come and passed. damn nostalgia tripping losers. yall will never be happy. Thats the sad part. I still have the exact SAME engagements in Halo 5 as in Halo 3. Same strafing mechanics, added the thruster is a new form of evading. Same running away when you’re one shot that has always been in Halo. Same grenade power. Same melee power (the lunge with melee is stretched given the faster movement). Truth, from previous halos, has come back and is probably my favorite given it’s expanded to fit the movement. I don’t get people in this community. What they can do is extend the radar to be able to track sprinters from an outside the 18m proximity. Maybe like, an extra 10m so you see people looking for a cheap spartan charge kill. Spartan charge can be nerfed. Maybe in its tracking. You charge too far a distance. It has the same lunge as a sword which shouldn’t be. It should be more like a shoulder ram. maybe move your spartan 3-4 ft without tracking. For Halo 6 they could maybe go back to projectile bullets instead of hitscan that way it’s harder to aim.

The constructive part where i’m listing alternatives instead of cutting sprint (which has been in 3 games now) with an axe, yet, all these nostalgic people wanna fight me with no elaboration. Here you are calling me a flaming hypocrite when this fool said “goodbye, we won’t miss you” for saying i wouldn’t wanna play a halo with no sprint again. Nothing pleases you people in this side of the community. Others have already recommended a classic playlist and people from this side of the community still rebuke it. People who don’t even want a playlist like that, offer to make one for you cry babys and you still don’t want that. You guys are the worst part of the community cus you don’t want compromise. I literally listed things to limit sprint including axing spartan charge and still it’s a no. Of course i’m going to mock him when he’s snarkily telling me “goodbye, we wont miss you” what is he the owner of Halo? Last time I checked, Halo 5 has sprint and most people like it. So who exactly won’t miss me besides the minority of toxic people who want what they want, exactly how they want it with no compromise or even consideration for other people. Now here you are, trying to back up your butt buddy and still not presenting a fix for the game. Honestly, no, it’s not a possibility they’re going to axe sprint. If 30 percent of you want sprint hacked, which is likely a close number, it won’t happen dude. I’m sorry to snuff your nostalgia. We can come to a compromise though. I loved Reach, 4, and 5 with sprint. So did many many others. I don’t really see how I’m a flaming hypocrite when he’s the one immediately shutting me off telling me bye. Are you blind?

Your original claims?
Let’s see.

> If Halo 6 has no sprint i’m not playing it. I’m not playing the same game from -Yoinking!- middle school days. That time has come and passed. damn nostalgia tripping losers. yall will never be happy. Thats the sad part. I still have the exact SAME engagements in Halo 5 as in Halo 3. For Halo 6 they could maybe go back to projectile bullets instead of hitscan that way it’s harder to aim.

That’s your second post in this thread where you say more than one sentence.

So let’s dissect it then.

You claim you’re having the exact same engagements in Halo 5 vs Halo 3, yet later you say it’s not.
Well either way, what is there to counter here really? This is how you experience Halo 5, I can’t tell you that’s not how you experience Halo 5, and even if that’s not what you’re experiencing, you know you’re lying to try to prove a point of yours.
I certainly do not experience for instance that running away plays the same as in Halo 3 because there I could pursue and dish out damage, giving me a higher chance of finishing off someone I outplayed.

You claim any “nostalgia losers” as toxic, yet you’re the one assuming things about others and then go on to deal out insults based on that assumption.
You’re the one calling those who do not want sprint cry babies, some are delusional and so forth.

“Flaming” attack others with insults.
“hypocrite” claim others are toxic when you are behaving badly.

Let me just leave you with this, because you obviously missed me answering you on that post.

Minority of what? And how do you know?
So what are the reasons why sprint should be cut then?

I pretty sure the new spartan abilities (save -Yoinking!- spartan charge) would be GENERALLY accepted in a halo game if they werent accompanied by sprint it would feel more competitive more strategic and would also still be recognizable to the fine tuned experience we got in halo 5. Warzone and customs would be a whole other beast entirely retaining ALL the features that made halo 5 successful would keep warzone great and would also allow more options for custom games, for those people that actually wanted to play in a sprint arena type setting they could actually fire up the in game custom game lobby adjust the filter and be good to go! lets face it, sprint has NO place in competitve halo and to argue that it does would just be absurd. this would allow arena maps to continue to be designed the PROPER way and please the vets and basically everyone whos willing to give it a chance and you wouldnt lose much of your sprint loving audience at all because there would still be sprint in the game it would just take a backseat!

Sounds familiar doesn’t. It happens to all of us. Halo without Sprint took forever and you had no evade options. In reality the game matured along with the capabilities of the players.

Evolved is the word i was looking for. Strafe was a good move but in reality you are able to sprint right? If you were a super soldier you should be able to run then right? That is the point i was making. Sorry

Alright, “evolved”.

Why are we using the word “evolution” in the first place?

Either way, what about all the things that were cut? Random Ordnance, Global Ordnance, Custom Loadouts etc, Flinch was also said to be an evolution, yet that’s cut as well in favour of Descoping.

In reality I’m also able to lay prone, peek corners, blind fire, roll grenades along the floor instead of throwing them long distances, in reality, I’d argue that titanium armor would withstand ballistic weaponry.
In a video game however there are sets of mechanics, rules if you wish, that define how the game plays, and then I’m not talking about first to 50 kills, but what abilities the players have and what they can do with them.

Jump height for instance can be seen as a rule, your character can’t jump higher than that. We can change the rule in customs though to allow our character to jump higher.

Cant tell if blind to reality or trolling? There is a reason why so many cant “just go play MCC”, its a weak excuse to avoid discussing the topic at hand.

So because you personally have not experienced any issues, it means there are none?

Do you have anything to contribute?

> > That’s a load of complete garbage. The bugs in MCC are well-documented FACTS. I’m tired of casual players going in to play a few games, not noticing the obvious discrepancies from the originals (for example, the completely inconsistent Magnum in MCC H1) and then telling people who are actually paying attention that there is no problem. This isn’t even a matter of knowing the originals either. You know, like the way MCC FREQUENTLY breaks chat, requiring you to reset your mic. Like the way it will randomly kick you out of a lobby and break, requiring you to restart the game. People complain, because there are significant problems to complain about and ignorant apologetics from the likes of you will not change that.

> I never had any of those problems and I honestly don’t see any problems with the MCC right now. Im tired of people like you who complain about problems that don’t even exist right now, so annoying. Well documented facts hahahahah what a joke. Halo vets=whinny babies

That’s like saying: “I’m not hungry right now, so there must not be world-hunger”.

Who are those people, oh yeah people from Call of Duty, Battlefield, Titanfall, etc. Why would 343 make a Halo game for them? Why add and change things to get them? They will still play their game, even though Halo has sprint.

Can you justify why sprint is good for Halo with facts?

Sprin defenders really have no idea what they are saying. They state they don’t want Halo without sprint, because it will be the same game. Doesn’t it applies to Halo with sprint?

Some guy in the lore sprinted once.

A.k.a. no tangible facts.
