When you purists start whining about sprint and the other abilities, you just come across as old guys afraid of change. Evolve or get left behind. I’m really getting sick of all these threads. If you’re so disgusted with Halo and the direction it’s going, stop playing it. Seriously. Stop buying it. Stop playing. Stop coming to the forums posting the same nonsense over and over. The best way to get your point across would be to round up and organize the rest of the purists and boycott the game.

This guy stinks! Activate movement mode?!?! His words not mine.
For a guy who at the very beginning says he’s anti-sprint and all the other new abilities, he was sprinting, thrusting and ground pounding an awful lot.

What does sprint bring to those gamemodes that improve on the experience and dont just take away from it?

Very obvious, and sometimes sprint creates disadvantages. Looking at you swat.

Nice!

When sprinting makes an entire fan base explode…most of the people who hate sprint probably still use use it in game. Why wouldnt you run away from a guy hosing you down with an smg or assault rifle?

Delta between BMS and Sprint speed decreased since beta
No shield recharge when sprinting
Get knocked out of sprint at build up
Getting told to not use sprint because it doesn’t make any difference

It’s nerfed from its previous iterations, and I’m told it doesn’t make any difference to not sprint. Sounds unnecessary to me.

Look at that list, how many features were cut at some point, yet were regarded as some sort of modern feature, or necessary feature?
Sprint is yet just another feature that can at any point end up on the chopping block and meet the same fate as Dual Wielding, or Armor Abilities (which I forgot in the list), simply because the developers have a change of heart.
We’re certainly not too deep in with sprint, because any mechanic tied to it that they want to keep for the next game, can be made to function easily without sprint.
We’d get shield recharge back when moving around at optimal speed too.

But please, seeing as you disagree and think we’re too deep in, please elaborate how “we’re too deep in”.

Bet there are many things you dislike doing, having or using, yet do, use or have anyway. Would you imagine.

Were any single one of those changes implemented during the game’s lifetime? Nope

Has sprint been pruned? Nope

The developers didn’t have a change of heart, they were entirely different teams. Are you new to this?

I fully agree with this, sprint was a good idea, but it should be limeted, also, the cooldown effect should be the same in halo 5, but only shorter, if you use up all your limeted sprint capacity, the sheild recharge takes longer, that would balance alot with limeted sprint

You can tell me the Earth is flat and it will never make sense to me. You can feed me false information as much as you want, but it won’t ever make sense.

Yeah limited sprint, maybe a meter for Spartan Charge, and the other abilities.

Not this game’s lifetime, but from Reach > 4 > 5 Beta > 5 retail.

You’re going to have to explain how it hasn’t been pruned over the years.

I said that the developers can have a change of heart at any time and remove sprint. They sure can, for Halo 5 all they’ve got to do is update the playlists and disable sprint, unlikely now. For Halo 6 they can leave it out of the development entirely so it never sees the day of light in Halo 6.

You literally cannot play Halo 5 competently without at LEAST two of these abilities. Only an idiot would completely abstain from using them, based on the fact that they have demonstrable negative impacts on the game. If he did not use them, he would still be playing Halo 5, a game designed around them and everyone else in the game would be using them. I suppose you also think that people who critique clamber should “just not use it,” thereby eliminating a significant percentage of standard jumping routes and significantly limiting their mobility. Brilliant.

  1. That website is chalk full of 2013 50’s and ranked social HC 50 Halo purists.

  2. As for Pros, they go on the website to address issues that they’re involved in; IE Naded making the post on how he isn’t retiring, just taking the rest of the 2016 season off.

  3. Most of the kids on that site have never been champ in anything but SWAT, Slayer and Breakout and then if they were champ in FFA or TA it was right after resets [~2000].

  4. All because you’re on a forum that pros are signed up on doesn’t mean you’re good. TERRIBLE misconception. Maybe if TB was invite only; but it’s not.

Yo this is actually the GOAT. Thank you for this!
