It quite possibly IS the most controversial issue in the franchise. I’ve never seen any other mechanic get so much attention and so much debate, at least not outside of places like the MLG forums where everything is scrutinized.

Unlike what you’re implying, the reality is that most people haven’t gotten fed up with Halo and deserted the franchise because of sprint. And look, I understand why you don’t like sprint- I really do. I don’t feel the need prey on every single point you and the rest of the anti-sprinters bring up on the issue. This thread is being trucked along by people who are asserting their opinions on this issue as facts- opinions are not equal to facts. I’m willing to admit that my opinions on sprint are opinions (not facts) and I have listened to the opposing side when they reply (which is ideally how constructive debates are supposed to take place). I’m sitting back and observing that anti-sprinters aren’t always doing the same. For instance, when people say “I think they should keep sprint,” anti-sprinters jump on them for not providing evidence or points that can be countered. I’m not going to name any names here, but some anti-sprinters here even call those opinions “worthless.” Look, not everyone needs to come in here with evidence every time they post their opinions in a forum like this and they should be respected for feeling that way even if their opinion doesn’t line up with the anti-sprint crowd…
>

When anti sprinters say “I hate sprint”, pro sprinters jump on them and say “don’t sprint” or “you have no evidence that sprint is bad”. Both sides are same.
Would anti sprinters be happy to see sprint just gone from Arena ? in its current form i.e. shields not recharging, unable to sprint when being shot, if they then removed spartan charge for 6 it becomes a valid question is sprint even neccesary in Arena ?
BTB and Warzone I thinks it’s a worthwhile addition simply for map traversal purposes. I understand that might be confusing for some but I don’t know ? I’m just trying to find a middle ground…

> Technically the sky isn’t blue. Due to Rayleigh scattering, all light with short wavelengths gets filtered away while light with long wavelengths remains. During the day that is blue, green, yellow, red, infrared and so forth, but we only see the blue as that is where our eye ist most sensitive. In the evening, the blue and green light gets filtered as well, so we see the next-best color we are sensitive to, which is yellow or red. So the sky is a combination of multiple colors, out of which we ususally only perceive one. Which ones that are depends on solar inclination.

split screen a close second?
I would say perks and loudouts were more detrimental than sprint ever has ever been but that’s just me.
sliptscreen was just uneccesarry bad press on the game, they could have locked it at 30fps and no one would have cared.

The problem that creates is inconsistent gameplay, which would just frustrate casual and competitive players alike.

Considering how many peopled bombed this game because of lack if split screen I can say its probably a safe bet.

Oh for sure loadouts were the absolute worst thing to happen, especially since the balance sucked.
As for split screen I think they tried too hard with the graphics which sucks because split screen was a great draw for casual players and their friends.

Shoulder charge isn’t even dependent on sprint. They could just as easily make shoulder charge completely separate from sprint, which, using your logic (and I’m not saying it’s poor logic), would make sprint - going into Halo 6 - already unnecessary.
People often use shoulder charge, slide, and slow player speed as reasons not to get rid of sprint, but none of those things are dependent on sprints inclusion. Charge can be separate, slide can be separate, player speed can be made faster. As far as I can think of, nothing requires sprint in order to be part of the game.
No matter what they say about sprint, I am now convinced that the majority of wrong thinking people are RIGHT. Sprint will stay.

Shouldn’t you ask yourself what the base of your claim is? Because now you assume there is a wide known base for your claim, but you really can’t assume that anyone else know about it unless you tell us.
Without a reasoning as to why his claim is wrong, even though it may be baseless, I personally am not that inclined to believe you either, because I see no more reasoning to why you’re right, than he’d be right.
Excrement is flung, and participants in all camps do it, but not all particiapants in the camps are doing it. I jist try to steer away from doing it or encourage it.

Even if it’s not the most congroversial issue (how do we even measure such a thing?), it’s most likely the longest going controversy?

But in H5 it is dependant on sprint, which is why I bring it up obviously the mechanic itself doesn’t have to be but tbh a spartan charge that isn’t dependant on sprint would probably even worse than it is now IMO, I want it scrapped altogether personally.
Also I’m not really using it as a reason to not get rid of sprint I’m not even pro sprint, I’m on the fence and could take it or leave it for me, Halo for me isn’t defined by sprint.

What claim are you asking me to back up?
Are you implying that it’s wrong of me to question his claim that, “Sprint has been a talked about issue for years and the single most controversial issue ever in the franchise,”?
Do you really, honestly feel that I need to provide anything at all to throw up a flag with such a statement? I mean, what more is needed there to believe that he is trying to over represent his anti sprint viewpoint and make this issue appear to be bigger than it really is? That’s what such a statement is aiming for, which is my main issue with what anti-sprinters are trying to do… What more are you trying to ask for from me? Or are you just trying to neutralize my point?

Think I made a comment with links to different pages and articles around 112 or something like that.

Thanks I’ll have a look
i could do without spartan charge but keep sprint because it adds a whole new level to the game (plus who wouldn’t like ground pound, clamber is really helpful, and so are the jump jets)
