I honestly couldn’t imagine not having it anymore now that iv gotten so used to it. If it were taken out the gameplay would slow down drastically and I would feel like a tank when I’m moving around. Its not getting taken out, if anything it will be enhanced somehow. And the game is already fast paced, sprint just fits in the gameplay. I was opposed at first, but why complain about something that isn’t going to go away? Just adapt or play something else. I will complain about the lack of doubles and team snipers though. Those two gametypes actually can be put in.

I pretty sure the new spartan abilities (save -Yoinking!- spartan charge) would be GENERALLY accepted in a halo game if they werent accompanied by sprint it would feel more competitive more strategic and would also still be recognizable to the fine tuned experience we got in halo 5. Warzone and customs would be a whole other beast entirely retaining ALL the features that made halo 5 successful would keep warzone great and would also allow more options for custom games, for those people that actually wanted to play in a sprint arena type setting they could actually fire up the in game custom game lobby adjust the filter and be good to go! lets face it, sprint has NO place in competitve halo and to argue that it does would just be absurd. this would allow arena maps to continue to be designed the PROPER way and please the vets and basically everyone whos willing to give it a chance and you wouldnt lose much of your sprint loving audience at all because there would still be sprint in the game it would just take a backseat!

The fact that you’re arguing on behalf of competitive Halo yet are highest ranked as a Plat 2 makes this thread a joke. (Not stat flaming or saying he’s bad, but pointing out the fact that he’s trying to speak on behalf of people who actually don’t mind the sprint innovation)
Sprint is FINE. The reason everyone cried foul in Reach is because you could sprint away and still have your shields come back. Now, you can’t.
Literally never heard a single pro or person on my friendslist complain/ say sprint is the reason they won’t play H5 and my FL is full of Halo Purists.
People love finding things to cry about. 343 is -Yoink!- if they do, -Yoink!- if they don’t. No wonder they don’t come here anymore.
As for the vets part, i’ve been playing Halo 3 since week 1. I’m a vet. And i’m thoroughly pleased with what 343 has done with H5 now that i came back and gave the game a chance.

So than they would move ultra fast 100% of the time? Who moves the same speed all the time? We should be allowed to choose depending on the situation. They’re super soldiers, Im sure they could run, or at least should be allowed to. I can take a shotgun to the back, obviously I dont mean close range, but I can absorb a shell, but shouldnt be allowed to run?

You’re so right haha, why would a Spartan NOT run faster to avoid dying? I personally think removing sprint would diminish the “Spartan” feeling. I don’t feel like a Spartan when I can only move at the speed of a brisk jog everywhere I go.
Sprint was a good addition to the game period. From a Lore aspect, and gameplay aspect, and really just a common sense aspect.
Im still just shocked that something like sprint would make people not want to play the game anymore. Like I said before, sprint is supposed to be used tactically. Go into a high onyx/champ game and tell me how well you end up doing by sprinting everywhere you go. For the most part, People who sprint endlessly wherever they go will always get wrecked and never get past Plat ranks.
Sprint is here, and should be here to stay. Learn to use it wisely, and learn to beat those who don’t use it wisely.

The thing is buddy ole’ pal. If I don’t sprint other people still will which puts me at a disadvantage. The ENTIRETY of sprint needs to go, so just make the maps smaller, problem solved everybody still likes halo.

It isn’t that you are not allowed to run, it’s that you can’t run and gun, have small maps, or be safe in a vehicle.

git gud

so you want to split the part of the halo comunity that likes Warzone even further apart from the arena fans?
huh…just puting classic playlists sounds like a better idea to me…

I respect your opinion and recognize that sprint has its pros and cons, that being said I feel like halo is a very different game now, and the fact that people like me don’t even have a functioning game or a single playlist where sprint is nonexistent, pisses me off. Again you and many other like sprint: okay ; ) , But what about me or anyone like me that just wants halo to be more like what it used to be, back when it was the best game out there? I am simply saying halo is a very different game now, there is no denying it, and I don’t see 343i paying homage to me or any other loyal veterans that just want to be thrown a bone. I honestly think the best Idea to put into motion would to fix MCC, and give it a hearty defib with a reward akin to the thing they did with the HW beta because It would be smart as hell, get us more bang for our buck, get them some recognition from longtime fans, and maybe show some youngsters what halo used to be like. I think this is the perfect solution but mostly wishful thinking. I don’t want to drive away fans who want sprint either, because halo is for everybody, but so far I don’t see any change in 343i’s path anytime soon and this saddens me very much.

I can read perfectly fine. You apparently can’t make a proper sentence though.
“The removal of 343 and the replacement with Certain Affinity will make halo halo again” You’re implying that 343 has either been replaced already or that 343 should/will get replaced by CA. Both are stupid. CA has never made a Halo game and will never/should never replace 343.

You can’t just say adapt after four years of someone not liking a mechanic, we NEED an amendment to sprint in some form or halo is going to keep losing players. But you are super right about the playlists mentioned. Even if those were in anyway though, I feel as if the playlist count would still feel lacking.
