This is the 21st century . Sprint or running in general makes todays games fast paced. Stop living in the past, kid

Let’s bring this back to the ce btb maps that were all as big if not bigger than warzone maps. 343 even acknowledged apex 7 being a remake of death island from ce and even with having sprint halo 5s version is still smaller

Halo 6 my friend  no but in all fairness we are playing as spartan 4’s in most books we follow spartan 2’s or 3’s with much better training and better array of gear compared to that of 4’s as why locke is warned of these spartans at the begining of h5

The only thing sprint and Halo 5’s new movement stuff does is put the triangle on a spinner and allows the player to spin it around to speed the game up and change how you engage a situation. Now you can actually jump and run in with a shotgun even when someone is backing up with a BR, which in your perfect halo is a definite death. Now it’s not.

Also, assassinations, the jetpack, mongoose and a motorcycle with a side var and chaingun(how awesome would that be) were supposed to be in h2. And h3. But bungie didnt have the time, resources or processing power to make them work to their standards.

Now it’s just a bigger part. The movement is one of the only things that makes me still play halo.

>

> Doom, overwatch , and csgo all don’t have sprint and are 3 of the most popular fps games out there. Why? Because only twitch games like cod need sprint. All sprint does in games like halo is ruin maps, slow down the game, and yes it does break the golden triangle. At any time I should be able to shoot, throw a grenade, or melee. I can’t do any of those while sprinting. Sprint Dosen’t create a new type of flow, it just slows down the one we have. I’m seriously starting to doubt if you played the games without sprint. And sprint being removed from halo 2 had nothing to do with hardware implications, the code is there they just chose not to use it because it has no positive effects on gameplay

Can you shoot while reloading? Can you shoot while driving a warthog? Can you shoot while spawning? Can you shoot while out of ammo?

Sprint doesnt ruin the triangle. There are always times when some actions are unavailable.

I was referring to the bolded part below.

BTB would be considered large scale maps. Anyway, like Naqser said, there are many ways to compensate for bigger maps like vehicles, man cannons or teleporters.

Just because its in the books, dose not mean it will translate to good, balanced gameplay which Shooting while sprinting does not. People have problems having sprinting because it changes engagements. I’m a sprint supporter, but sprint shooting would change how we as players engage in firefights so much more then before that I think you would see more people leaving then before. Their are not many MP FPS that do that because of what Sprint/shooting translates too: Poor gameplay.

That’s the problem with people like you, that mindset that halo needs to follow modern gameplay standards, modern standards is what created halo 4. We followed other games having loadouts/killstreaks and look how that went. Halo needs to do what works for halo, set their own trends, not what works for cod and battlefield

So now it was a huge mistake for bungie for giving the spartans the ability to run? WTF? People would have wanted the sprint eventually. And does the SLOW paced halo bring any new halo fans to our community? Maybe few. Halo 5 is pretty fast paced with sprint and it’s now more popular than Halo 3 when comes to daily active players.

So do halo 1,2,3 reach when you don’t have the aa and doom all have bad gameplay. Just remove the sprint button and have a constant BMS slightly lower than h5 sprint where you never stop shooting and can go fast in all directions and now you have fun, fast paced gameplay with good maps

And now it’s our fault that players like me actually like the sprint?

That’s the thing about the triangle, it’s either easily understood, or you go -Yoink- and don’t get it at all

Maybe, but to remove it? Why people find so hard not to use sprint at all? You can play any halo without the need to sprint. You can change the freaking settings in your controller :DDD This is rather dumb fight over sprint. I mean it’s just those “REAL” halo players against the rest of the community

And does the SLOW paced halo bring any new halo fans to our community? Maybe few. Halo 5 is pretty fast paced with sprint and it’s now more popular than Halo 3 when comes to daily active players.

And what makes you think no sprint halo is slow. If sprint gets removed we up the BMS and now have a fun, fast paced game that is easy to have fun and enjoy. You literally got nothing right in that entire paragraph, halo 5 isn’t even close to 3 and you clearly have no idea of how removing sprint would acually play out.

> Maybe, but to remove it? Why people find so hard not to use sprint at all? You can play any halo without the need to sprint. You can change the freaking settings in your controller :DDD This is rather dumb fight over sprint. I mean it’s just those “REAL” halo players against the rest of the community

Now your just acting like an idiot, so if someone Dosent like the gun sounds should the just not shoot

Bungie admitted that sprinting wasn’t good back in H2.

Maybe a few? How can you even make that type of claim when it hasn’t even been tried yet for the modern Halos? Then you imply that H5 is popular because of sprint. Can you show us some proof that it’s popular because it specifically has sprint? I have a feeling I’ll be waiting for a very long time.

Because the maps/game were built specifically with sprint in mind. If 343 made maps and had settings where you didn’t need to sprint, then I’m sure more people wouldn’t use it.
