Sprint doesn’t make halo into cod (stupidest argument I’ve ever heard because you can apply that to any game with sprint). The thing that can fix this is to have a Legacy section tgat only includes playlist without any Spartan abilities and we still have arena and warzone.

I only mentioned one map in that sprint is a death sentence and I’m probably the only one who doesn’t sprint a lot in SWAT. Sprint still has it’s use and I do use it in modes like WZ/WZFF and btb and I like to do this one trick (barley a trick I don’t know what to call it) is that a sprint, slide, jump, and thrust to close in on the enemy in some cases.

I do see those are the main reasons Halo 5 is bad still.

I say remove it, and bring the majority back. I see far more rants about sprint than I do praises. Just look at YouTube. Other than the 343 suck-ups, most YouTubers who give genuine feedback complain about sprint (and other features currently missing form the game).

You’re only real hitter there is fallout 4.
Halo 3 had oblivion right before it, it had fallout 3 it had gears of war/gears of war 2, Crysis, assassins creed 1 and 2(the best one), mass effect, dragon age etc.
Lots of games that fit multiple genres. So that point is kind of a silly one.
The problem is that sprint and these dumb issues are still issues. People who have left the halo community and want back in are getting washed away with the social division. And that halo hasn’t actually changed too much from Halo 2 and 3 now. Yes you have newer movements, that have been done in every other game and Halo hasn’t put any new spin on them. That’s what. Are halo CE so revolutionary, it took multiple ideas and concepts from. Multiple games and mixed and matched them and spun them into something amazing. Halo/343 has yet to do anything like that. It’s just: “oh cod has a huge population, and this is in cod…” and we get ground-pound, first person thruster pack that aren’t as good as CoDs. You can shoot while using the thruster in cod. We also got shoulder charge and clamber. But we don’t complain about those… Those aren’t ruining halo at all. But sprint is. The most basic human movement besides walking is running a science fiction/fantasy game.
Or they go: “oh remember halo 2? The fans love halo 2, we need to make it like halo 2.” that’s all they’ve been doing.
Sprint is not the issue, it’s the fact that it’s an issue is the issue.

BRING BACK HEALTH AND HEALTH PACKS!!!

and recharging shields while sprinting. Make thruster pack stop shields from recharging. And get rid of Ground-pound.

There are many other reasons, and those reasons go more in depth. But as I mentioned above, I’d sit here all Night Haha.

It should never be a death sentence.

You don’t need sprint to slide, jump and thrust to close in on enemies. If they removed sprint, they could still allow you to do that.

I agree

If you agree then explain why you agree that sprint needs to be removed.

Brooooo
sprint suits this game beautifully well and i expect the same in the next game
Adding then removing constantly is just gonna screw stuff up

Well lets see, Duelwielding was in Halo 2 then got removed when Reach came. Armor abilities came to Reach then got removed in 5 with Spartan abilities. DO YOU see the pattern, abilities like these get removed so sprint will be no different.

I guess that can go either way. I feel that sprint allows for bigger maps because sprinting allows more traversal. If there was no sprint, there would be smaller maps. I would be ok with it either way.

well crap don’t know how to counter that as you brought up a very good point. There are still situations in were sprint is needed but I can’t think about it ftm 'cause I’m lazy and not in my house to do some testing. So let’s just say that sprint still doesn’t make it feel like cod. Now THAT is a stupid argument.

No sprint means better maps

A light jog with hardly any fast forward momentum allows you to slide… That’ll be the shortest tactical slide I’ve ever seen or done. I can see jump and thrust. But not slide. Nor could I see you being able to do all the movements at once they way this guys does them so fluidly.
Sprints not the problem. Sprinting should be allowed to recharge shields. Bring in health packs and health. That’ll help a lot already.

Yes, yes. I see what they do. They take out everything good and fun and interesting that could change the game and make it challenging because it takes too long to balance things out and make them work and people complain too much because it’s different.
Sprint should’ve been in reach straight up with armour abilities.
You do realize that Spartan Abilities are pretty much just armour abilities.
I don’t count sprint, clamber and slide “abilities”.

> 2535418150513048;4637:
> No sprint means better maps

And how so?
You can get better maps by hiring a good map designer who builds a map for the game and all its abilities. Not just removing them.

As long as everybody can sprint, then it doesn’t make a difference if there are two movement speeds, because if sprint didn’t exist, everyone would still be walking at the same relative speed. And besides, it wouldn’t be logical to remove it anyways because that is just another inconsistency that 343 would be making. Cough cough removing smg in halo 4 removing concussion rifle and sticky detonator from halo 5 cough cough

i agree
