I was responding to the current conversation at the time about how halo CE BTB maps were larger than the current warZone maps. I disagree with that statement. Teleporters, man cannons, vehicles etc. I can’t remember a halo CE map the size of apex 7. Not even close.

It’s not quite a remake. But a successor to silent cartographer. Yes. But I think it’s much bigger. But you could be very correct (I have been wrong once before, could happen again). I may have to take out the old Xbox and fire up some halo and see for myself . You honestly have me very intrigued now.

I say remove it, and bring the majority back. I see far more rants about sprint than I do praises. Just look at YouTube. Other than the 343 suck-ups, most YouTubers who give genuine feedback complain about sprint (and other features currently missing form the game).

2007 was the cod 4 launch year, the first modern warfare game and still one of the most loved, halo 3 had heavy competition

It’s bigger than the campaign version ( if we don’t count the tunnels). But death island(the multiplayer version), had where you could go up on the cliffs where there was an entirely new level of combat separate from the beaches and paths to/the forerunner structure.

can’t believe they’re still going on about this.

I think that’s the problem right there. You don’t know how to play the game because you walk around everywhere for some reason unaware that the jeep next to you moves at a faster speed than you do.

> That’s right. Man cannons are the more balanced form of fast travel to a point on the map. Not that it matters. You’d be a fool if you never used teleporters in past games because of the possibility of someone camping there. My point remains the same. All of those things existed and made it easy to get around the maps quickly.

Back in 2001 no one really camped, this was literally before Xbox live. That annoying part of the community wasn’t there yet, plus blocking the teleporters added new levels of strategy in ctf by cutting off enemy reinforcements

Mate, you do realize that you can just turn sprint off in the controller settings menu :stuck_out_tongue:

It can make you feel special not having sprint though

Sprint doesn’t make halo into cod (stupidest argument I’ve ever heard because you can apply that to any game with sprint). The thing that can fix this is to have a Legacy section tgat only includes playlist without any Spartan abilities and we still have arena and warzone.

Impossible. Player movement is incredibly important to how maps are designed. They have to be built for sprint because the maps would be flat out broken in how they play if they weren’t. If the changes made to Truth weren’t necessary for sprint, they wouldn’t have been made.

They are Spartans, super soldiers. They run fast…

Yes but I do agree that they should able to run and shoot at the same time. There Spartans, not Marines.

People have issues with Sprinting already in Halo, add in automatic weapons with that and people’s heads will explode if you can sprint and shoot at the same time. Shooting while sprinting is a terrible idea.

Well unless they nerfed the Automatics

I pretty sure the new spartan abilities (save -Yoinking!- spartan charge) would be GENERALLY accepted in a halo game if they werent accompanied by sprint it would feel more competitive more strategic and would also still be recognizable to the fine tuned experience we got in halo 5. Warzone and customs would be a whole other beast entirely retaining ALL the features that made halo 5 successful would keep warzone great and would also allow more options for custom games, for those people that actually wanted to play in a sprint arena type setting they could actually fire up the in game custom game lobby adjust the filter and be good to go! lets face it, sprint has NO place in competitve halo and to argue that it does would just be absurd. this would allow arena maps to continue to be designed the PROPER way and please the vets and basically everyone whos willing to give it a chance and you wouldnt lose much of your sprint loving audience at all because there would still be sprint in the game it would just take a backseat!

Well, halo is halo, but not your halo

Ignorance reaching record levels. Abort! Abort!

I swear if I see another baseless argument defending sprint (like the immersion one), or someone saying “I like sprint! It should stay” I’m gonna go Office Space on my computer.

Well Gandalfur Halo was Classic Halo, the original trilogy.

at that point, might as well bring back duel wielding while your at it…because the full autos will need that to compete with the BR/DMR etc etc. If your adding sprint shooting, might as well call Halo "Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare 2.

I agree, shooting and sprinting is a bad idea, first all, if you were good, that would be too powerful, and be like COD, so this a -Yoinking!- idea

I love sprint.
true story.
