Checks service record. Sees that you started at 4 and dident play more then a few games on the mcc. congratulations sir, your opinion is now completely and utterly irrelevant.
Love the sprint topic, so unnecessary. Doom has it right, you walk but your walk has the speed of a person who’s running. A true badass (super) soldier.
i guess sprint its a good idea in halo that makes halo more dinamic

Haha so just because of the fact THIS gamertag started then thats the be all and end all? Right, so alot of people havent played as guests on friends accounts? Or changed their gamertag?
You make some huge assumptions.
Not that it makes any difference to anything but i started playing in 2001. We would almost daily meet at a friends house to play. This pretty much continued through H2 and 3.
The fact you make such assumptions says it all about the way you view things. Open your mind to other possibilities, you may be surprised at what the world has to offer.

> Makes no sense removing sprint at this point, its already been implemented in the last two games and removing it completely from arena would confuse new players, plus h5 has done a great job at balancing sprint (ie: health wont recharge if youre sprinting , and i feel you sprint slower if youre getting shot), lets not forget sprinting added with some abilities like sliding and thrusting bring new mechanic combos. I do hate spartan charge that thing takes 0 skills and mental thinking.

Why on earth would you want microtransactions on a triple A game?
We paid $60 for the game itself!

It raises the skill cap to remove sprint, I would say that’s good for a pro who can strafe and aim, but for the normal people it’s a lot more fun to get into combat faster and atleast be able to fight back. More normal people than pros equals sprint stays.
Btb and Warzone should have sprint, but in arena I’m not sure.

I don’t claim to be one of them people that “played Halo from the beginning but my service record can’t back it up because I have a different account now”. My service record goes all the way back to H2, where I played almost 6000 matches I might add, (It’d go back to H1 if they had some way of keeping a service record from back then.), and I like sprint.

Lol I agree. That and The Library. I actually really liked Two Betrayals. It was long and a bit annoying but it was really fun going through it with my friend on legendary. The library was the same just more repetitive and annoying.

If the vast majority of the community hates sprint, why hasn’t non sprint forge maps been created to go with non sprint custome games where the entirety, (majority), of the halo population theoretically should be playing?

well first of all…those kinds of maps do exist, second of all there isnt some big data base where you can select “no sprint map”, and thirdly its alot easier to just play another game than to just play custom games everyday…and quite frankly most of the arena maps would work fine without sprint they are so damn small…and any of the other abilities for that matter (thruster pack and spartan charge must die)…clamber seems to be the only ability the maps are actually based around…maybe you wouldnt be able make a few advanced jumps here and there with only clamber…but for the most part it would be fine

I very much doubt just because you sprint and charge takes away suddenly double as many people play halo.
Dude what is your problem with sprint. You never suggested why it has no place in competitive Halo which was one of your points. You never said why the mechanic is bad or anything. Please go into more detail about what is actually wrong with sprint.

I don’t play custome games or get into forging. So I’m qunite ignorant to how the file share works and what not. But I was under the assumption that if a game type is made, i.e. Non Sprint, and labeled as such, it can easily be found in the files share search section. If this is indeed how it works, I would think there should be a plethora of non sprint maps and game types to go along with the “majority” of people that hate sprint.
Wasn’t that 343’s reason for making the toggle off sprint an option in custome games? (Or is that something that I am not remembering correctly? Like I said, I don’t forge or play custom games.)

What is either of us gonna say to sway the other? Seriously. There’s maybe 2-3 arguments for either side, and every point gets repeated over and over each and everyday on this board. What argument do I need at this point other than I like sprint and always wanted in Halo? What would you say? the maps are designed around it and just increase movement speed and that it lowers your weapon? Or how about the population sales are down because of sprint? or my personal favorite, sprint makes Halo not feel like Halo. Go play CS:GO (that dumb esports game you guys love to toss out there) or Doom if you guys are so upset over sprint. Maybe Halo just isn’t for you anymore.
The removal of 343 and the replacement with Certain Affinity will make halo halo again

I pretty sure the new spartan abilities (save -Yoinking!- spartan charge) would be GENERALLY accepted in a halo game if they werent accompanied by sprint it would feel more competitive more strategic and would also still be recognizable to the fine tuned experience we got in halo 5. Warzone and customs would be a whole other beast entirely retaining ALL the features that made halo 5 successful would keep warzone great and would also allow more options for custom games, for those people that actually wanted to play in a sprint arena type setting they could actually fire up the in game custom game lobby adjust the filter and be good to go! lets face it, sprint has NO place in competitve halo and to argue that it does would just be absurd. this would allow arena maps to continue to be designed the PROPER way and please the vets and basically everyone whos willing to give it a chance and you wouldnt lose much of your sprint loving audience at all because there would still be sprint in the game it would just take a backseat!

> OH MY GOD! SHUT UP! When is someone going to have an original argument for or against sprint??
> Why is the OPTION to sprint so upsetting to you people?? you don’t have to use it. When you purists start whining about sprint and the other abilities, you just come across as old guys afraid of change. Evolve or get left behind. I’m really getting sick of all these threads. If you’re so disgusted with Halo and the direction it’s going, stop playing it. Seriously. Stop buying it. Stop playing. Stop coming to the forums posting the same nonsense over and over. The best way to get your point across would be to round up and organize the rest of the purists and boycott the game.
