yes a classic playlist would be enough but i don´t understand why these sprinthater not only play MCC?? why they play H5 and hate sprint when there are a game without it…

Because sprint surely is the defining factor when it comes to game pacing, no?

Kind of funny how there are other non-sprint shooters out there doing just fine.

will you now seriously non-sprint shooter like UT compare with Halo? LOOOOOOOOL :,^D

but please tell me why you must playing halo 5 when now sprint so -Yoink- is? Why not MCC with Halo 2 and 3??

Overwatch is definitely comparable.

“WHUH NOT HALO 2 OR HALO 3”

Because clearly sprint is the only defining factor of any game. With that logic why buy Halo 5 when it’s so clearly the exact same as Halo 4?

I feel like sprint has its pros and cons but it has more pros than cons. Sprinting makes the game a lot more fast paste and allows for an easier way to get somewhere, I remember playing halo combat evolved and wondered if I was ever going to make it somewhere because I couldn’t sprint.

I feel like anyone who doesn’t like sprint needs to get over it , the way I look at it is it gives halo a nice touch and its greatly appreciated , the way I look at it is that if you don’t like it then just don’t use it , on e3 before halo 5 was even release they announced you could turn sprint off in your settings … Sprint is helpful

Care to elaborate on why UT wouldn’t be comparable?

It’s a while since I actually played Halo 5. Why not MCC? Because I find myself in 10 minute searches that finds players, only to restart the search several timrs over. Another reason is that I’ve played them extensively (in my opinion) and I want something along those lines as I do not agree with the current direction.

The compulsory Sprint feature is a hit and miss its both great it’s there because we can get from a to b a lot quicker but bad because it wasn’t how halo was designed in the first 4 games (combat evolved, halo 2, 3 and ODST) Reach had it there but it wasn’t compulsory if anything halo needs to become local co-op again!!!

The amount of times me and my mates would come in take up all 4 slots in co-op then fight an opposing team online or another group of mates in custom games was ridiculous halo 3 and reach and to an extent ODST new that, if 343 can basically replicate that system, I think everyone would be happier as they would be sticking to the functions Halo was built of by Bungie if there is one scrap of proof you want that suggests local play should come back its Rooster teeths red vs blue (huge fan) all co-open and system link

Your reasons for supporting Sprint are that it “gives Halo a nice touch” and “is greatly appreciated”? I don’t know that you could’ve been more vague had you tried…

Then your “solution” for those that prefer the way Halo was originally intended to play is “don’t use it”? When everything has been tuned to make Sprint work as well as it could, not using the mechanic no longer becomes much of an option (especially when other mechanics require you to sprint first).

Sprint is helpful to the individual using it, but not to the game as a whole.

Why do people keep raging against sprint! Do you know how many discussions on sprint there are ever since sprint came out in Halo Reach!!!? It’s so annoying so stop hating sprint! There is nothing wrong with it! Just stop it!

i think halo needs two levels of sprint. the one it has now and an even faster one that has a moderately horrible regain control time.
gives more of a tactical and decision making edge that comes at a heavy price to those who are just belligerent and impatient.
i think we can all agree that getting spartan charged head on should be nerfed a bit. from the sides and rear. cool makes sense. but straight to the face? no dude just no. as goofy as it sounds even just a muzzle thump to the face at someone obnoxiously charging me would generally absorb all of the impact AND inflict some serious damage to mr dip shniz that just sprints around corners thinking its awesome when its just something that should not work. with a sword or hammer or even shotgun great but most of the time its silly. they die almost every time and it should fail ALMOST every time without question, with skill ok sure yes its plausible, again when its a direct charge at someones face? they clearly see you coming and they are just gonna take it? no. not happening ever. even a flinch would trigger some what of a reaction. but no its just boom all shields down or just death by someone that was literally eating up bullets and a fist to the face. but that is just unbalanced logic in my opinion.

Based on already 3 Halo games already having sprint (Halo reach, Halo 4, Halo 5), future Halos will have sprint no matter what, so stop hating on it. What if you were a Spartan, would you always just slowly walk around when you have the option of running to get to places faster? In Halo media, they are always sprinting because they have to so just stop your negative comments.

Enough with these topics…

What if the moderators banned topics about sprint?

Sprint is a great feature in the halo games. As people have stated “it increases the games pacing” and not only that. But it also gives us more options about how we can approach the game.

Couldn’t agree more!

That would be a blessing.

To anybody who doesn’t agree here’s a good video by favyn explaining it

Just because a mechanic has been in multiple games doesn’t mean it cannot be changed or removed. Health packs were in three of the seven FPS Halo games (CE, ODST, & Reach), Dual-Wielding was in two (2 & 3), and Loadouts/Armor Abilities were in two (Reach & 4)… yet none of those are present in Halo 5.

You’re thinking about game mechanics in the wrong way. Its not a matter of “should I sprint or not?”, its a matter of “should players be able to sprint or not?”. You shouldn’t apply real-world logic to every aspect of a game (you know what else Spartans are always doing in the media? Breathing… but it shouldn’t be made into a mechanic because of that, right?). Also, debating the inclusion of a mechanic doesn’t make a comment negative.

Id rather keep sprint
