The sprint discussion thread

Having sprint doesn’t make it any less Halo than if it didn’t have it.

I think we should keep sprint.

I’m sick off all of these sprint topics.

Using “Halo” as an abstract adjective makes that easy to claim without explaining how…

Yeah a “classic” playlist would be ideal just so everyone can be happy. I personally love sprint.

Alright, removing sprint from halo is the dumbest idea and will not make halo how it was before. Yes it is true that everyone was pissed about sprint in reach but every shooter had evolved to become more fast paced and incorparted into EVERY SHOOTER thst existed after halo 3. Halo is very slow paced compared to other shooters like COD or Titanfall and removing sprint will just make halo boring and hard to get to the other side of the warzone.

What does sprint bring to those gamemodes that improve on the experience and dont just take away from it?

If u don’t wanna sprint then keep your greasy hands of the A button and stop complaining and filling up the top threads with your nonsensical bull@#$%. I played the old Halo’s too and when sprint was released in reach, guess what I did, I ADJUSTED TO IT. If you cant adjust to the new halo then maybe you should stop playing.

THANK YOU

I agree to this. I’ve tried classic gameplay in halo 5 and it felt just like playing H3. So a playlist would be great, in fact it’s super easy to add aswell.

Overgrowth could finally be a good map with no charging and hopefully no promethian nades.

I don’t think it’s just sprint but it’s definitely a large part of the problem. Removing sprint will make Halo better it would make Halo stand out from other shooters and make it unique again.

2009 just never ended for you, did it?

Why would you want sprint gone? Cause you’re getting massacred by other players?

Wouldn’t call it a sheet.
Also, protective undersuit with titanium implementations, impact absorbing gel layer among other things.

This is also ignoring anything in the realm that any normal person trained in martial arts could move with the blow to decrease the impact, evade, block and / or counter.

And even if I concede that point, our Spartans sure are very limited in what they can do, in gameplay, god forbid that they can’t sprint in gameplay though.

So Sprint is necessary / needed to make shooters more fast paced?

Quake and Unreal slow?
Nu-Doom slow?
Nu-UT slow?
Overwatch slow?

Every other shooter had it after Halo 3?
Have you gamed at all?

You and your “person for president” think people haven’t adjusted to it? Where does it say that you haven’t adjusted to something if you dislike it?

I’ll tell you: WARZONE MAPS WERE SCALED FOR SPRINT. And not just sprint, but 3 levels of speed boost and speed-increasing armor mods. Or did you think it was mere coincidence that a map like Apex 7 is ridiculously, pointlessly huge and filled with empty space that hardly anyone goes to? Oh, it would take forever to get across them with sprint? Astounding revelation, truly. /s The solution to that would be simple: DON’T DESIGN MAPS AROUND SPRINT. Make them smaller, use teleports and man canons to close gaps, etc.Wow. That was easy. Absolutely no one is suggesting that they should remove sprint and then design maps for sprint anyway. I don’t know why this needs to be said.

I’ll tell you what. Get a buddy and jump online to Halo CE and witness the experienced players in that game “tactics” you until you find it difficult to sit comfortably. You probably won’t even comprehend what happened. Halo CE has a significantly larger skill gap than Halo 5, let alone the mess that is Warzone, which is, OF COURSE, the experience to which you’re speaking. Warzone does not require skill. It is a brain dead, casual game mode.
