The sprint discussion thread

All the new people who are now joining the community are younger and or play other games like BO3 and like the high rate of movement and would probably leave the new game if it gets taken away. I do agree for campaign but no multiplayer

I’ve played halo 3 10k games and wanna know the funny thing? I’m better than you in this Halo 5 you think your rocking in Gold rank 2 smh

Wize I like you better already!

The whole sprint debate has been beaten to death already. Sprint is the direction they want Halo go, and as much as we object to it, that’s how its gonna stay.

Personally, I would be more intrigued in playing against players if they had some classic playlists (no sprint/charge/stabilizers/thrusters/gp, assassinations are alright since they can be toggled), that way both sides can enjoy the game in its past and present glory. It’d just take some tweaking in the settings to get the gametype just right.

> but thats the thing we are still keeping sprint, its there its still an option and if you wanted to play with it you could play warzone or custom games. thing is halos 1-3 were fine without sprint in the campaign and the arena aspect. What does sprint bring to those gamemodes that improve on the experience and dont just take away from it?

How about we keep no sprint in the back and u can play with no sprint in customs? sorry man all these new kids have been playing halo with Sprint for awhile now and pretty soon all the old timers will be retired and done playing halo on a serious level anyhow! I myself am an old-school player and now prefer sprint over no sprint. … so just keep no sprint in customs. Plus as u can see by the likes. …u have more people wanting sprint. …

No, just stop.

No, removing sprint will make Halo slow, boring, and if you’re out of cover you’re screwed when somebody shoots at you.

-Yoinking!- spartan charge) would be GENERALLY accepted in a halo game if they werent accompanied by sprint it would feel more competitive more strategic and would also still be recognizable to the fine tuned experience we got in halo 5. Warzone and customs would be a whole other beast entirely retaining ALL the features that made halo 5 successful would keep warzone great and would also allow more options for custom games, for those people that actually wanted to play in a sprint arena type setting they could actually fire up the in game custom game lobby adjust the filter and be good to go! lets face it, sprint has NO place in competitve halo and to argue that it does would just be absurd

I see little to suggest Halo is gaining more fans than it’s losing right now with sprint. That being the case, why do new fans matter more than existing/old fans?

Why would it make it slow?

If you’re out of cover, why should you being able to get away without fighting back?

It doesn’t make sense when a super soldier isn’t allowed to sprint
